Republic001: If he sends the money and you go with the self sponsor option, you will likely get denied because of large funds transfered. Expect you explain the reason for the funds but I don't advise you to go through that route, rather use your dad it more better. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by zubizareta(m): 9:56pm On Jul 08, 2023 |
Republic001: You can't be called self sponsor with all the funds your dad has sent to you. S Let him attach a sponsorship letter along with supporting docs to show his proof of income and credibility as a sponsor. Also check your home and economic ties |

Aghoghomena: It’s well oo. Your funds looks sufficient even with the current IRCC rate. 10k cad 1yr living + 9k tuition bal = that’s like 11M You still have extra 2.5M which can go for miscellaneous. Well let’s wait for your GCMS notes 2 Likes 1 Share |

[quote author=Zeed13 post=124296984]It might be categorised as False information on previous applications or just overlooked. It depends on who is reviewing it and what conclusion the VO came up with. More reason why we need to be extra careful when submitting our application. Prior to submission, we acknowledged that the details entered are correct and were not manipulated. That said, it might as well be overlooked or seen as a way to hide information. Date of birth is not something they use to play abroad. It's in fact a security details to ur info, account, crimes and use for background checks etc. Since it is not yours, it might be no problem as the family info is not a compulsory document. As said, it might be overlooked or updated to the newly presented details. Best of luck. Many thanks bro. It will end in praise by his grace. |

Aghoghomena:Tuition bal 9,000 Living expenses and miscellaneous 14,000 Total = 23k. In naira = 13.6 million. So it wudnt be enough. |

ActivatedDreams: This is certainly not enough as a self sponsor. First if the 2.5m goes for miscellaneous as you said, then he has zero naira in his acct? And he is a self sponsor? So what happens if he needs emergency funds to carry out unforseen expenditures? If he has family behind, what's he living back behind to take care of them? As a self sponsor, it's certainly not enough. |

I started application to saint John, nbcc, information technology and I just made payment for the application fee ($100) but got a notification I cannot proceed to submit as they already received too many applications and their portal has been put on hold and an update will be made on 13th July. Is there any hope I can at least submit my application by then or there's another thing I can do on my portal before then so I can be able to submit? I really don't want lose $100 considering I can't even submit to complete the application. So confused. |

the best advice for you is to travel with the admission that got you the visa. inside Canada, you can try to change the DLI. if you switch school while in Nigeria, that will invalidate your visa and you will have to apply for a fresh study permit with the new program. moruff77: |

I recently got my Canadian visitors visa last week, I’m yet to actually travel because the visa came in late and the purpose of travel had passed. However, my wife age 25, has gotten admission and is to resume by January 4th in Canada. POF isn’t the issue, home ties isn’t an issue also as I have 2 lands of over 10Million in value, a very good business and I am employed also. My wife has a plot of land also and she’s duly employed also. We work in the same company. I have a daughter who is 3yrs old from my ex girlfriend. My wife will be granted a study leave by then ur company and I have been granted a transition to another department in the company to allow me work remotely if I wish to accompany my wife. I will be the sponsor The issue here is this, should we apply together ? when my wife applies for her study permit, should she apply for my SOWP? Remember I have a visitor visa approved already . Also, is it a red flag 🚩 that my company is allowing me work remotely and yet I am seeking SOWP ? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by zubizareta(m): 7:34am On Jul 09, 2023 |
heldworld: Didn't you see the instructions there that they weren't accepting applications again for the moment. Anyway, your best bet now is to wait and for when they said there will be updates on the page which is July 13th. Hopefully by then some programs will be available for you to pick from. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by zubizareta(m): 7:38am On Jul 09, 2023 |
EkaAkp: Whether you apply with or without her, they already know you have a visitor visa. It's how convincing your sop will be will determine if it makes sense to travel with her or not with sowp. If you have the pof, then you can apply with her. As for working remotely, it could be a red flag cos that job can't really act as an economic tie for you again. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by zubizareta(m): 7:40am On Jul 09, 2023 |
Republic001: Yes. He can send complete living expenses and the tuition balance. Do a gift deed for the money sent to you and still write a sponsorship letter and add supporting docs. Most importantly write a strong sop. |
