Hi, please can someone on here answer this question for me; can the student with an approved study permit, before their travel, apply for their spouse and dependants to come to Canada possibly at the same time when they plan to travel. Please bear in mind that the student did not apply for them at the same time while making his own application but wants to make the application for them after his own has been approved. Thanks. 1 Like |

lyndaoyewole: I really do not know, I just feel it is another avenue to see what is happening to your application if the main portal does not show any update. |

jokeadegokeblog: What was the reason for the PFL? If the reason is something that can be explained with evidence to show that the applicant is not guilty of what he/she has been accused of, then the best course of action will be to write a detailed structured letter addressing the subject and backing it up with evidence. |

Please beg your agent not to mess yhings up for you. He needs to mail the school to address the issue of your admission letter that it originated from the school and that it is not fake. Though the admission has been cancelled there is no problem, snd that is a different issue. let the school clearly write a that your initial offer letter is genuine and that you were once admitted but because they did not receieve your tuition deposit they cancelled the admission. This is very important to prevent the intending ban if you fail to address it well. Please swing to action yourself. Send mail to the school. Call them if you can Let them confirm that you were actually admitted in the first place. I think niagara is now having this issue, someone i know got banned because of same issue. She is using a legal service to address it. CanJ: |

Hi Joke, The case seems simple, however, my suggestion on tackling it will be a gamble, which might work or not work depending on the provenance of the fund. The good thing is that they have requested you to provide statement from a commercial bank. Get a reference from the MFB stating that you are the owner of the fund and how long the funds have been fixed, also get a statement from them that is at least six months old. This letter should also state that you have access to the funds at all times. If possible, let them include their official email address for confirmation purposes. Liquidate the funds and move it your commercial bank account where you will generate another statement to show the inflow of the funds. Then write a detailed LOE to explain why you had to save the money in MFB - ie They pay higher interest rate on savings, ensuring the value of the fund is maximized. Refer IRCC to the CBN regulations on MFB especially Section 3 (a) (permissible activities) and Section 12 (b) (sources of fund) where the former states that MFB can receive deposits from any individual not just poor persons, and that as a matter of fact you are considered a high NetWorth customer because of deposit you made into the bank, while the latter states that the sources of fund for MFBs amongst which is deposit from customers which can be anyone like you. Then state that because you have access to the fund you can make use of it anytime especially when you need to make foreign payments by moving the funds to your commercial bank like you have done presently. 5 Likes |
