2 Lagos ports control 65% of nation’s import cargo — NPA NPA puts 5 terminal operators on watchlist …Pressure on ports cause of infrastructural decay The Managing Director, Nigerian Port Authority, NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko, yesterday, said that the Tin-Can Island Port, TCIP and Lagos Port Complex, LPC, handle between 60 and 65 percent of cargoes coming into the country, a situation which may have contributed to the strain in the ports infrastructure. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/07/2-lagos-ports-control-65-of-nations-import-cargo-npa/#google_vignette 3 Likes 1 Share

This is the Best Time to invest in Lagos and the neighbouring SW states! This is the best time to invest in Yorubaland if you don't hate and resent your Yoruba hosts. The Yoruba and Yorubaland will bless you, your family and your investments! Invest in Lagos today with a good patriotic heart and not with a heart full of hatred and bigotry against your host so you will not lose everything you bring to Yorubaland. God bless Lagos state and may God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs! 53 Likes 10 Shares

65% is not that much considering the fact, that some people want the world to believe other ports are not working as if they force them to use Lagos ports. 54 Likes 6 Shares |

SmartPolician:Go and read up on the constraints and why despite several billions Federal Government pumped like wasted funds into those 'political' ports outside Lagos, they are still not optimal in value for money the FG invested to build them just to pander to tribal and geopolitical sentiments. If you read the report very well, what NPA is admitting is the fact that the money FG should have used to upgrade the infrastructures in the two Lagos-based busiest functional ports in Nigeria and west African sub region that it diverted into the white elephant projects called seaports in the other parts of the country. Since 1977, those two ports have not witnessed massive infrastructure upgrades yet FG kept building new ones that are literally economically useless like the p in psychology. It was the reality of the kind of envy of the Yoruba by folks like you and the spoiler the FG played against Lagos that made us proceed with private-sector led port alternatives like the Lekki and Badagry Deep seaports so our progress will not be undermined forever in a multiethnic nation like ours. Now our Lekki Deep seaport is up and we do not need envious compatriots blackmailing us that we held them down. Think out of the box. We have understood your game of acting as spoilers as if the Yoruba are sitting down on your progress when in actual fact the Yoruba are not. That those two ports are suffering from poor infrastructure is because of envy and bitterness against the Yoruba for hosting those ports, it is not because FG could not have kept them in shape despite the fact that those ports were national assets serving the nation, employing all Nigerians and handling most of the cargoes in Nigeria. We will always triumph in this kind of reality that you are envious of us but please don't drag us into your inability to make a headway, we are not responsible for your woes and having suboptimal political ports. We want investments from those who love us , respect our culture, leaders, elders and ready to live in peace with us and stay out of our local politics. We are not desperate and we do not wish you evil. Na God we take beg you, take your 'investment' to where you love and will respect their values so that it can be rewarding stay for you there.
