The Owners Of The Ship Arrested By NNPC Revealed. by Penguin2: 10:27am On Jul 12, 2023
NNPC was quick to tell us that they arrested a vessel with about 800,000 barrels of stolen crude oil, but despite revealing that the company that owns the ship is a Nigerian registered coy, they were silent on the owner(s) of the company.

Well, here you have them.

WHO OWNS THE VESSEL WITH 800,000 LITERS OF STOLEN CRUDE?
Nigeria's state-owned oil firm, NNPC Ltd announced on Monday that 800,000-litre (211,338-U.S. gallon) vessel carrying stolen crude had been intercepted offshore while heading to Cameroon.
Holab Maritime Services Limited with Henry Herbert Coker, James Nataniel Coker, Linda Aniekpette Coker and Abie Coker, as Directors, own the Vessel and the company registered in Nigeria with an address in Nigeria.
Authorities have been loud about intercepting and destroying the vessel but have been quiet about who owns the vessel.
My findings indicate that the listed owners are cronies of bigger oil thieves who are in Nigeria. Their identities would be unveiled soon!

It baffles me how people are hoping that a crime scene like Nigeria will ever develop.

Delusions!!!

And what if it’s not on lease?

Would you have cared if the ship was on lease if the owners were Igbos?

If you think a ship fan just get to an oil well pump and start loading oil without explicit agreement with executives of oil operations then I have a bridge to sell U

Coker is a southern name (thats if they are Nigerians). They could be Yoruba, Ijaw, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta or Cross River.

However, most oil thieves I know involved in oil bunkering and distribution in the South South are from the South South.

The Cokers own the vessel. Who owns the stolen crude oil? Someone else would have hired the vessel to siphon the oil. Someone who has been stealing oil by hiring vessels. Remember the vessel has answered different names. Probably the Cokers are the last to buy the vessel.

Oyel thieves
I am sure the real owner is somewhere chilling in one foreign country or one top politician
I can't even imagine how many of these kind of vessels sail away with our oyel. They should be prosecuted, but trust our country, we no go hear about the case again

During one of the campaign, Tinubu said there's too much focus on oil thieves but we ignore the buyers, who are those buying our stolen oil?

Salaam Rodent probably knows more about the ownership of the destroyed vessel. He was wailing about it in another thread. Hypocrites in high places

The president is very much aware that going against these criminal elements won't be an easy ride hence they would have long been caught.
Perhaps destroying their vessels would send a strong message to the rest.

oboi if it was easy prosecuting those fellas, Jonathan or Buhari would have done so.
There's more to it that meet the eyes.
Destruction of the vessels is a strong plus.

May God help us.the other gigantic vessel that was caught the other day , we aren't hearing anything again.
Omo if u have opportunity to go hustle cash outside the shore of the country, make u Japa oo.
This criminals aren't allowing wealth to go round for the benefit of all.
Jonathan govt was churning out 2- 2.5m barrel of crude per day then and we were still complaining.now even 1M barrel per day is a huge task for the country.meaning we have a fundamental problem in the country

You are likely right. Abie and Aniekpette sound like first names from South South actually but I know the Coker families of Lagos and Abeokuta. If it's same Coker then they will have Yoruba names as first names and not Abie and Aniekpette.
