affoncad: English is a very big problem to you. You are in Canada , I wonder how you went past IELTS. Well it's fine , you called me here . Let me clear the air. I said this, because most employers would like to see you on ground before deciding to do "business" with you , discuss salaries , etc before handing in documents for job offers and what have you. Now there are pathways, for immigration you should follow. And most employers after giving you jobs (if you deem fit for the role , and providing you with proper documentation) you may decide to take. Some are pilot programs , which you use to apply for PNP programs. An example of which is the OINP and SINP programs in this context that needs a job offer. Now I have a question for you, if a province weighs this options and grants you PNP, what next is left ? Without bias , answer this question. @ednut1 pls answer this too. |

Ruskov:false information. Most employers will not entertain you without pr or post graduate work permit. Most employers don’t know how immigration works talk-less of LMIA. Like i said earlier you have less than a 5% chance thats if you have a scarce skill self. There are people paying as much as 20k to 30k for LMIA self. 13 Likes |

Jobsites...check indeed...LinkedIn...Glassdoor. Fact that you have a family in Ontario will ease your settlement if the family is open to hosting you for a few weeks while you sort out long-term accommodation. Some folks are fortunate enough to get jobs before they land usually close to when they land. I did, & I know someone else who did get a job before he landed too. Data analysis na good field. When you check the job websites lookout for possible certifications required (if you don't have them yet) and try to get it before you arrive to make it easier to get employment in ur field. Google careers certificates dey move market in Canada I've heard. All the best tannystacey: 1 Like |

In everything you do please be very careful and do not fall for scams. Try to do your research yourselves and ask questions. There are very helpful people on this forum who can put you through. Ask and learn from them. I have followed ednut1 and the account holder is very knowledgeable and helpful. These are the people to learn from. Take good advantage. So many fraudulent people around. Many Nigerians are fraudulent as well and many have taken their trade to Canada. My recent visit to Canada revealed plenty of the damage Nigerians have done. They did plenty during the Covid-19 pandemic with frivolous claims. All the best to Canada hopefuls 1 Like |

Does anyone know a Toronto police officer? One individual scammed me out of $550. I have filed a report with the police, and my bank is conducting an investigation. However, they will only share the findings with the police if contacted. Since Toronto police are primarily focused on emergencies, if you can connect me with a police officer, please help me. |

shupy:Canada is not like Nigeria where a police officer can take things into their singular hands because you know them. Either contact a lawyer or go to the police station yourself to file a report, if you have the person's details. 6 Likes |

aestake: Some companies do this. Nigerians have gotten jobs from Nigeria without PR. I am sure there are some success stories on here on Nairaland. What is your field? I know companies in tech, energy and health care that do this. |
