This guy must be one of the criminals on indrive. I can't count the number of times I've seen him make similar requests on indrive. It is either he's a criminal or a driver that just wants to frustrate unsuspecting drivers. I just people have not been accepting his false requests sha.

Omoapena: Lol. I don't blame you for thinking this way. Someone will gross 30k or way less on Bolt with about 13k fuel plus hard labour for a whole.day. If you break down all expenses, what he made is not actually far from this your 5k mark. 30k on paper, 5k in bank account. Na experience you use arrive at this 5k. No one is seeing what you are seeing. Trust me, I understand you very well and know how you came about this benchmark ; . It's what the business have been redeuced to lately. 4 Likes |

dapotemi: dapotemi: Agba!!!...u for tell us since say ur papa na oko ashewo, we would have taken your advise more seriously. Thanks but no thanks, even Civil servant and Bankers that didn't plan their lives are miserable, sick and poor in old age. This is not peculiar to drivers. The only govt workers enjoying old age in Nigeria are people who were in the armed forces whose pension is paid for life, (not the contributory pensions that OBJ brought) or people who have well to do and caring children. At some point, ur contributory pension will finish. Wait and see, in the next 50 years where we will be, thank God for Internet. Although I don't know about you, "see yo see Ebony" since u feel there is no time to enjoy this life, but according to my own scriptures, I will live to see my great grand children. 10 Likes 1 Share |

obinoral1179:In case you didn't really understand, let me elaborate further for you. What I was saying in essence is, this job collects from you as much as it gives you. You aren't taking anything out of it if you are not careful. The tool you use for the job is a very delicate one. Lemme break it further... For a teacher that earns let's say 100k a month... You can easily plan your life around that 100k and live fine to your standard. Your school principal or proprietor is not taking from that money. You don't buy chalk nor duster out of it. But this hustle, I bet there is none of us that calculates our gross and remove maintenance money before declaring our nets.... Once you remove BOLT commission and Fuel money, all the rest is your net and you spend all on whatever you want... The day ordinary tyre will burst, you will start begging your friends for money to buy a new one... Okada will remove your mirror, headlamp will break, bumper will remove, battery will die, shock will burst... All these money will come out from where? Even a Carpenter will use one hammer for years before he buys another one. But you, you are always repairing your tool here n there. 11 Likes |

Pearl1910: Ohh, o boy not really o, he's actually retired now.Anyone that graduated in unilag might probably know him, the prof that links the 'gown with the town' ... He's an Ondo man and always very proud of it, quite clear even in his intonation...I won't ask about yours! People who usually call out other's dad on a platform like this, for me is just one of those trait you see in guys that does your kind of job in and out, everyday...atleast you will need to insult/fight between 5 to 10 olosho/other road user everyday... One thing that this job takes from you is the ability to THINK, ability to rationalize, ability to make clear-cut decision...soon, you won't be able to fit in, you won't be able to engage intelligently as evident in you and others that cannot , but insult! It is on this platform that I see someone telling another guy to meet him somewhere so they can fight, yes BOLE-KAJA. Not your fault tho,na the environment..The reason you need to get out of it. FYI, I will continue to encourage drivers to please, know that this is not a JOB, it should only be a stop gap, am working on a friend's cv here, the last time he submitted a cv was 2019 because u tell am to dey pursue surge..Now he needs a new engine (400k) and he can't pay! Those are the people I am fighting for...If I need a new engine of 2 million today, if I no get cash, I'll ask my HR to process it, I won't pay more than 3% interest rate and they deduct from salary...I don bid 350k for KIA RIO yesterday,(I will snap my screen once I get to the office), those access bank RIO, I'll probably get it! I have work without a break for almost 14 years straight, do you have an idea what my contributory pension is, because I notice you like 'chukking' mouth in what you have absolutely no knowledge about, aside from gist you're privilege to hear from your rider...if I withdraw 25% today, I will buy 2 toks Corolla.... Folks, don't let anyone tells you they make your salary in two days, ask them if their life mirrors it! They make so much money but when you open indriver, a driver is looking for bat3, another needs spanner, this one needs jumper cable but yet they make my salary in two days! Shiorrrrr, we know the figures don't add up! 13 Likes 1 Share |

dapotemi: I started this thing in 2018. Did rental for 2 years, resumed after COVID break with my own car, Naija used 04 civic. I used it for a year, sold it and bought a Tọks car that I'm using now. January last year, I moved from Gbagada to a highbrow estate in a good part of the island. (Not Lekki 1 though) I've gone on holiday twice this year, one was in Accra. I can afford to buy 20k petrol everyday. I don't work till 4am for any reason. I start at 6 and should be on my way home by 6. The only reason I may push it is if my madam is out too. I don't travel by road anymore, unless there's no other viable means to travel to that place. I settle my different financial obligations with some ease. I'm also married to a very beautiful woman. Looking back, I know how far I've come. Quality of life for me is very ok, by Naija standards. Do you think I'm growing or not? Now, in every line of work it's the same thing. I don't know if you saw the HORRIBLE BOSSES trend on Twitter some time ago. You probably have carried several people who have either complained to you or to someone while in your car about how toxic or messed up their work place is. How unrealistic targets are choking them. Women and even men being sexually abused and emasculated but they can't leave or refuse to leave for different reasons. You know these things. Everybody is in that job to be able to afford a certain quality of life, to be able to meet up with their obligations. These experiences are not peculiar to you as a driver. You just have the experiences peculiar to drivers. This is the fundamental of human existence. It also ties in closely to your self esteem and sense of self. If you aren't meeting up with your obligations, it's likely you'll feel emasculated a lot when you have encounters with people who you believe are doing better. People in this country start earning an ok salary from manager level. Now ask yourself how many people from there up do you have. It's a pyramid my brother, it narrows as you go higher. And this makes your analogy of 52m kinda curious. The 9 to 5 guy, does he have his 3m per annum complete at the end of the year? We all try to make a life with what we have but being in the game, I don't see any reason why an Uber driver should not be able to make a relatively quality life. And use your earnings to step up. It could be starting a fleet. It could be something that's not even related. But na the same money wey Uber man make Na'im office man too go make. It's what you do with it that's the problem 15 Likes |

XGhost: God bless you sir, straight, direct without insult...This is the kind of conversation that matters and should be encouraged..All in all, the idea is not to ,perhaps present one as good or bad but to say, for me that HERE is better than the other side....people are reading, they are expected to make INFORMED decision...I bought a car, then a second one and a bus because I read different INFO here and other platform..Sold them off within two to 3 years..Did I make some profit, yes I did but overall when I punch the figures on excel, really not worth it for me; if I can search tru my system I can show workings why it's not a very good biz....Most importantly, the biz took my PEACE....that is what transportation biz usually do...if there is anyone that should make alot of money from ehailing biz, it should be oga gazzuzz, hes a mech, he has the expertise, the facility, perhaps the finance too, and he knows how to source for good, albeit cheap naija used cars that he will personally put in good condition but baba wake up one day say hell no, enough is enough! I have not seen ANYONE that abandon a profitable business, if the figures are right.. Well, maybe other might know another way too but I never see any point to grab, except some deprave boys that throws insult and call it cruise... I'm an ADVOCATE of growth, consistent growth! Look around, people are relocating daily,if you have a pen , anyone can write atleast 10 close friend of yours that may have left this country within the last 2 years, most of them are working class, their positions are vacant, many can take the opportunities and leave the road for MC Oluomo... 14 Likes |

dapotemi: If u come with rational thinking and Intelligent advise, I will clap for you, but if u come with insults and washing u will definitely collect in good measure. That aside, u have worked for 14years straight yet u still need a loan to buy engine and u use auction before u can buy a car. I tot all our salary workers have money loaded in bank accounts. Oga, just getat before u disgrace yourself here. In a bid to show urself, u opened ur broke ass. Your total pension contribution can only buy 2 corolla. Ehhh God. Just keep encouraging drivers, do what u can to help people, that's noble and I celebrate u for that. But the moment u start downgrading and tarnishing drivers, u will get a response, whether u quote me or not. 7 Likes |

dapotemi: Leave the road for MC Oluomo...what does that mean...if I insult u now, u will cry. What makes u think everybody is like ur friend who can't afford to repair his car, what makes u think every fleet owner is like u who couldn't manage 2 cars? Let me enlighten u hatchling, not every business is for everyone. Not everyone must work 9-5. Its not only working class that are traveling out, if u don't know any, atleast this year alone I can name minimum 5 people who have traveled out from this thread. Having said that, people can still succeed in something even if they aren't called to do that thing. All they need to do is learn the tricks, secrets and basics of that job or trade. U may be a first class student or decorated army veteran but fail at a car wash business. U may be d best coder or IT guru, but can't run a printing business, u may be a business mogul but can't organize your files and emails. Dangote, in all his spread and power failed in noodles and floor, he is struggling in sugar have u asked why? Does it mean these sectors aren't profitable?? If u didn't succeed in something, why not give ur personal experience and let it be rather than try to launch ur failure on others. Have you ever seen Gazzuzz coming here to deride drivers? If u think all drivers are like the few u know, then U have a hole in ur head. Fill it by enlightening yourself more. Please do you and let others do themselves. No one should superimpose what he does on the next person and no one should claim superiority in what he or she does. As our faces differ, so do our stories, wants, needs, aspirations and motivations. In every facet of life, there are successes and there are failures. Peace. 2 Likes |
