Everybody's experience is not the same. I know this because I have a couple of cars on the platform.

Some vehicles can be very much trouble free.

Excluding oil, I have only spent N56,000 maintaining a particular one the whole of this year. I also have others that are cash guzzlers in varying degrees. If it's not the kick starter dying today, it will be the brake calliper failing tomorrow or the fan belt cutting, AC and engine issues or other myriad of problems.

I was even planning to fully exit the business by October but with the recent increase in car prices, I have suspended the plans. Who knows, maybe I get to sell the cars at 4m each next year.

I find this hard to believe boss. unless the driver doesn't drive it much. this is the 7th month in 2023 o. with the terrible roads in lagos couple with rain you spent only 56k from January to July on repair?

Nobody can make me feel inferior... Bolt /Uber is not my father's company, one day ,we will all leave either by circumstance or decision. But ,when we are addressing issues, let us have that moral restraint not to insult parents or cast aspersions when we talk about someone's parent.
Haha.. that's not good.
You cannot beat a child and still teach him or control him on how to cry. The cry would be relative to the pain.

Is it that you draw the line only when people's parents are called out?

How many times have u cautioned people about insulting each other or how many wrong narratives about some characters on this thread have u corrected without having to pick a side.

All I am saying is you cant come at someone and still teach them how to respond.

Inside crowd fight u fit blow me make I carry 2x2 follow u or burst bottle for ur head & still chook u bottle for yansh.

This is a public space, we should be able to filter what gets to us, no amount of insult person go give me 4 here wey go enter me, I won't even dig or find out about the person.

It was on this thread that weyrey dada boy Felicity was wishing death on someone nobody cautioned him, if say na real life we for don settle the matter since, wheel spanner no go reach am carry him go need alloy rims and Jack

We must hold the ideals of being civilised.. there's no issue on this platform that should warrant casting aspersions on someone's parent..
No 4 by 4 planking suppose reach that level..

I can't bring or draw peoples parents into issues.. it's totally uncalled for.

so, last week I carried a lady from stadium to somewhere in surulere. trip ended 1800, she paid 1k and said her phone is dead, she will transfer the balance when it's charged. I told her I have charger and she said she doesn't like using car to charge grin.
me:ok madam is this how you pay for other services rendered to you or you only try this with uber drivers?
Madam: what kind of nonsense question is that? why will I run away with 800?
me: if you've paid me my money, I won't be asking you this "nonsense" question now will I?
Madam: well, I don't have battery and I'm late for a meeting, write down your account number I'll transfer later.
Me: my account number is my phone number without the first 0.
na so madam open door comot...after two hours, I reported to uber(na why I like uber be this grin) after 5 minutes uber paid me the full 1,800.
fast forward to yesterday, madam started calling me and telling me to unblock her account. she don pay the money finally sha

It's in PH. Our roads are generally better.

And it is true. Brake pads, control arm bushing, linkage, horn, two tires plus some minor things like shaft hose and air filters are the only things I've changed this year.

The driver does an average of 3000 miles a month.

Northbird, your father didn't have home training, so I excuse him for not giving u what he didn't have. Probably he didn't also send u to school that's why u hear a new word and feel u can use it anyhow on others without knowing the meaning.

Did u read and comprehend that mumus post that u are coming out to defend nonsense? Ok maybe he is ur brother or your friend, u would have done better to balance your reprimand, I atleast would have retracted. But both of u are mad.
Who will fight for Baba Jamiu, Alhaji Ayinde, Hadji besh. If he calling names of old men who has families wasnt insulting, why then is me calling his father a cab man insulting? If the name calling was for insult, why then haven't u reprimanded him also as the chief of morals that you are.

Person insinuate rubbish upto the extent of saying Drivers will not leave long and u expect me to clap for him?
It's like kpe u are are mad. U brains needs to be reset if u have anything inside your skulls.

U have waka jay from Abuja to Lagos, still yet no show for u...come u better respect yourself and the village people following u before u add more problems to your life.

Please how can one verify a claim by an applicant that he has been an Uber driver previously as stated in his CV.
His driving is subpar and his Knowledge of Lagos roads below expectation.

I am saddled with employing this person for a company and I am not convinced that he has actually been an Uber/Bolt operator previously?

Is there any document (or process) I can use to validate this claim?

Yes, it's good car. That's why I said people's experiences will be different.

There's a particular one that has been showing me shege. Driven in this same PH but it's always from one issue to another. I just take comfort in the fact that it has paid it's money already and the value keeps appreciating.

If he names any amount, avoid that driver.

Ask him to show you his driver profile, you can as well see the number of trips he has completed.
