This is a study visa thread. Have you secured admission? If you haven't then I will advise you read through this thread for information that will guide you on schools to pick and factors to consider before picking one.

Good evening everyone!

I have been reading some posts here and its been so helpful. So here are my concerns,... I have BSc in Computer Science and currently I'm into business. However, I got an offer from CBBC College to study continuing care assistance, which is unrelated to my career. What are my chances of getting study permit if I go for this program or I need to go for something related to educational background and experience? Please I need someone to advise me on this. Thanks

Kind regards

You already know the answer. Pick a course related to the business or what you are doing.

Firstly, CBBC College is a career college and is not PGWP-eligible. This will not enable you to qualify for Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) after your study.

Also, career progression is crucial but what you have chosen is not impossible to come by. It should be noted that it will be difficult to link the course with your career and/or educational background.

You can check list of PGWP eligible institutions here at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html

Since you have no plan of joining anytime soon, let her apply alone. Ofcourse when she is traveling, she travels with your baby that doesn't need the visa to even enter in the first place so no need including her in the application. When you wife gets to Canada and becomes a legal status holder, she can invite you and you apply for your visit visa. With that, it will make your pof effectively used for only her application and also use you and your child has home ties

Thank you.

Landed properties or real estate can go to proof of funds or client information depending on what you are trying to prove especially if you getting income from these assets..it can be merged with other doc @ POF

Wedding pictures should go to client information..

To the bolded ,If you are trying to merge pdf documents and offline on PC ..i suggest you download pdf setup @ below link
you can compress, merge pdf files including converting image to pdf etc, it is all in one combo

Good morning everyone, please can I apply for my study Visa with only my tuition deposit. My program is for September 2023 intake, meanwhile on my LOA,I have been given a deadline for my first semester tuition fee payment that was June 25. Although centennial college said my admission is still valid and I can defer my admission to the next available intake which is May 2024. But my school has not given me the updated LOA and it will take time before I get it. Please Is it safe for me to submit my study Visa application with the LOA I have with me?

Good Morning house, please I need help
I am applying soon for my study permit and I need clarity if I should have the letter of explanation on the first page of my POF to explain some questions I think might possibly come up in the VO mind
Additionally, I have a few concerns regarding my application just wanted to make sure i have tackled this issue properly
1. My Mother who is my sponsor has a different surname from mine because I changed my surname when I wrote my SSCE to my father's first name but my mom, sister, and brother use my father's last name and I am the only one using my father's first name. In resolving this conflict of name, I swore an affidavit for a change of name and I also have a newspaper publication. I am also planning to make my mother swear an affidavit of relationship, and also submit pictures of my mother and me with scan picture of my first SSCE result which shows i was using my father's last name initially. This whole conflict of the name was due to my birth certificate which has my father's first as my last name.
Pls i need help, thanks in advance

I guess your LOE will be different from SOP, If yes then attach the LOE on the pof section as you said.

On the change of name issue, all the steps and plans listed above are in order. Go ahead. Goodluck.

Good afternoon house.

Last week I was offered admission at centennial college January intake for a 2 year diploma program. I’m expected to make a deposit of 2650CAD( out of 9600cad first semester tuition) before 24th July so as to hold my place and accept the offer until the fees due date(15th October 2023).
After making the first payment of 2650CAD, can I proceed with visa application?

Please is there anyone here that is going to centennial college?

The school takes much time before they can conclude an application. I started my application since January this year for September intake, got LOA last week for January intake.
You have to follow up via email and call
