It's also possible that no invoice was generated for you because you had already paid last month before the free credit was given, so it will be applied to your account this month.

Unreliable internet has always been an issue for me in Lagos. The best Internet Service Providers use Fibre Optics but have very limited coverage areas. So when I heard Starlink would be rolling out their Low Orbit internet service in Africa, It Immediately piqued my Interest.

I made a preorder for the service in May of 2021 with a refundable deposit of $99. I did this due to the projected rollout of the service by the end of 2021. I did not get any update from Starlink until early december of 2022. I was told to pay up a balance of $501 so my exquipment would be shipped.

8 days after making full payment, my Starlink Equipment was delivered to me by DHL. It is a plug and play device that is easy to install by following very simple steps on the manual. I mounted the dish on my compound, at a postion with good sky visibility and the device connected to an available Satellite within a few minutes.

My Internet experience is now the best I have ever had it, here in Nigeria.

Total cost of Equipment $600
Monthly Subscription for Unlimited Internet $43

My point is, Starlink now process payment in Naira, so your naira cards will work fine. The kit plus shipping costs 394k. The $20 restriction only applies to sites and services that process payment in foreign currency.

If you were charged 32k, it means that your area/address has reached capacity, hence you deposited for future availability. It could take a long time before your Starlink hexagonal area frees up or it might never.

To work around this, first of all, cancel your order on your Starlink account. Starlink processes your refund instantly. However, your card provider may take hours or till the next working day to refund you. Next, look for a service address on the Starlink map that is nearest to you, which hasn't reached capacity yet, it should be within 8 to 10km at most, from your physical address. Remember, the nearest available address is always advised. Use the address as your service address and place your order, you will be charged the full amount.

How are you guys paying? They refused to allow me make payment

If you are new here and you were charged 32k instead of the whole fee or you are not allowed to make payment, I would recommend going through this thread from the beginning; using another service address can be tricky, you have to be careful and understand what you are doing but it works if you learn how to measure the closest service address to you and all of those things. So I would really really recommend going through people's questions and responses from the beginning and you won't regret it. 400k no be beans you know
