Kindly help with this profile my lovely people:

Primary applicant: Father (45 years old)
OND & HND in media studies (journalism; upper credit)
year of graduation: 2009
intend year of study: 2024 (any intake)

work experience:
Sales rep in a pharmacy: 3 years 2010 - 2013
Personal Business(trading in building materials) 2013 to 2023 (10years)

Preferred Courses of study(flexible and open for change or suggestions):
desired course of study: 1st choice- Post graduate certificate or Post graduate diploma in Project management (1 year duration)

2nd choice of course- Health care assistant or Personal support worker or care giver (1 year certificate program NOT PGDiploma)

Desired course of study: 1st choice: Project management

which of these program choices will guarantee visa and admissions in Canada? any recommended school as a Nigerian applicant?

Relocating with wife and 5 children. 2 of the children are under 5 while the other three are above 5 years old, none is up to 18years old. (will the children apply for same study permit or visiting visa??) What is the best way to go about the study permit application for a higher chance of securing the study permit for the entire family??

Proof of funds is not an issue though: 75m naira in the corporate account and 25m in personal account. But he does not pay himself from the business monthly......he runs the business with few staff (3 workers).

Home ties: 6 duplexes in different locations and over 10 undeveloped plots of land in choice locations in Nigeria, key leader of his church, his company.

Kindly look into this profile and give your professional advice on how to go about the admission and study permit for the main applicant and his family.

I appreciate you all for your priceless contributions.

Many thanks!

You have good home ties as well as proof of funds.
Your children would apply for Open Study Visa though. When applying for any school of your choice, you would need to do the study gap explanation (not a big deal)
I would advise you go for a 2 year course though. Project management in Canadian schools are always 1 year. A course in business management would suit you just fine.
For your own sake, please do not choose that health care course because you do not have the prior experience.

You mean the applicant or yourself? I got a bit confused here.

Would need valuation for these properties. It would really help the visa process but this is not the main thing. First gain an admission into a school. Do you have a province in mind? What school are you looking to apply to? These are the initial questions that you need to ask.

Good day house, anyone gotten admission to sheridan college for the 2024 January intake, I have applied since April and I haven't got a response.

Are you sure they’ve not told you to send anything and you’re yet to. I had this similar case I was waiting for them not knowing I was supposed to send something to them.

I applied to York University since Dec 2022, the deadline was slated for April 2023 against fall 2023. I’ve not received a decision yet. Mailed the department and also admissions several times and I keep getting the same feedback of “it will be updated shortly” . I also checked their Reddit pages and students complain about their admin being sluggish. I’m really anxious and quiet surprised at this slow pace from the school. Anyone in similar situation? The course is MHRM

Thank you for your response, the reason why i want to apply before I defer is because of the instability in the exchange rate only God knows what will happen in the next few months. So that is why I want to apply before my acceptance letter will expire.

Since you have planned to defer, why not wait for the new updated loa to be out before submitting your application

Good day all.

"Please, I really need guidance. I am presently in Canada on a Visitor Visa. I accompanyied my teenage child who is on a Student Visa. My Visa does not permit me to come outside of the house that much, and I also cannot work with it. Now that is my challenge. Someone suggested I should apply for asylum. Another person suggested that I should apply to convert my Visit Visa to a Work Visa. I have started the process but it is taking so long, with no end in sight. Another person suggested I should apply for Permanent Residency through an immigration lawyer. The immigration lawyer I contacted mentioned something about I need to be on Work Permit before applying for PR. But most recently, someone suggested that I should brave it up, and take all my documents to Canada Border, and explain myself, and request that I be given a permit to work in Canada. That it will work out. I don't really know how this plays out. Please, I need sincere responses on this. Time is key for me concerning this. Thanks a lot."

Madam, how do you later reslove ur issue??

If you have someone who has SP approval already and wishes to bring you, you can apply as common law partners. Steps not that complicated

While GCMS notes is the true source of getting the main reason you were refused visa based on financial resources, I can deduce from what you wrote here, coupled with some questions which if asked will not be in your favour, that your application has some flaws.

Exactly. She should use an experienced agent to reapply. I don’t think it’s wise to wait for GCMS note before reapplying.
