In many countries, citizens keep grudges against politicians and wait till the election season to deal with them.

Politics is bitter.

Politics is vengeful. Politically conscious citizens keep grudges.

They don't reward failure or injustice.

Because politics determine your wellbeing.

How does your writeup and your attachment make sense? Do you think you are speaking to idiots?

Seun needs to start blocking some people on NL.

I am not yoruba but you igbos are nothing to write home about when it comes to your thinking . Funny enough some of you are intelligent but you see the likes of you......you are the problem of south east

Leave South South alone.

It is you Ibo people that introduced bitterness and hatred to Nigeria polity in 1966.
Ibos are a naturally bitter and hateful tribe
The Nigeria should quickly be restructured and Ibos should be forced out to go and form biafra

I quite agree with the man.
For your information, he never said, "Yorubas never played politics of bitterness". Maybe they did at some point, but currently from his standpoint, they don't.

Moreover, wise people learn from their mistakes, idiots relieve them

My Girlfriend who is a Yoruba girl voted for Obi because of her church commitment.

Most of my church members voted Obi.

I didn't vote but I will have never voted for Obi, I prefer ATIKU or Tinubu.

We in Yorubaland don't play politics of bitterness.
Funny. All my family voted for Obi. The one who did not vote rooted for Obi. I will never have a problem with that, Infact, I was really impressed because they participated in this election like never before.

Where I have a problem is why would %97 in Anambra vote only LP.

Till date, no igbo man voted for any other person or party except Obi, that is not a good democratic tenets and have an ethnic bias undertone.

I agree with Bwala on this. Yorubas don't play politics of bitterness, emotions, sentiments, Ethnicity or religion.

They play politics of inclusiveness and National politics.

But you see the SE, there kind of politics will never allow them produce the president.

The SE will need to change their style of politics. Begin to play National politics, build bridges.

Tinubu is our president until 2031
If you follow history, you will see that Yoruba politics have evolved from pre-independent regional politics to the mainstream that we are now. We also have to learn tolerance given the heavy bloodshed that followed the 1964 and 1983 elections. We learnt bitter lessons.
My belief is that we are more open to accommodate and respect the choices of others, this is why Peter Obi won the Presidential election in Lagos and Atiku in Osun. People talk about the Governorship election in Lagos, IGBOS messed GRV up by the way they were bragging after winning the Presidential election, if they have remained humble, they could have succeeded. But no, chest beating won't allow them

What happened then was internal crisis. Stop lampooning it. Meanwhile that Zik messed up. He could v teamed up with Awolowo for better instead of beefing the sage even after death. Some people are indeed bitter than flagyl.
On the legacy, who's more honoured after death by their people?
Awolowo or Zik?
In fact, where are Azikiwe's children in present time cos we still dey see Awolowo's children. In fact, one of his grandchildren is married to Osinbajo, one is a movie star, one is owner of tribune newspaper and his first grandchild is a very popular business man/politician?

Zik was below Awolowo in National politics.

He was never half as smart as Awo. He was a complete tribalist who masqueraded as a nationalist. He preferred to be an errand boy to the North instead of joining forces with Awo, he was eventually used and dumped.

This thread is about how Fulanis play politics of hate, but watch and see how APC media cows will leave the fulanis whom Mr Bwala talked about and face the Igbos.

Maybe Mr Bwala needs to come on nairaland and see spiteful Yorubas for himself.

They sure know how to give it back to rude juvenile delinquents measure for measure! undecided undecided

You need to do your best to overcome this victim mentality, which makes you see yourself as the subject of every conversation. Even conversations that have nothing to do with you, you project your victim complex into it and make such conversations about yourselves. Not everything is about you. Other people also exist.

Sad.

Ignorance of history. He doesn't know SW was the nation's political war zone!

When the yorubas were betrayed by Ziks alliance with the North ( the same north the SE love castigating today) they fought their own people whom they considered traitors to their cause.

When the SE felt betrayed they fought a war against the whole of Nigeria. A war that they had no hope in hell of winning in the hope that western nations would intervene.

In operation whettie hundreds died, in the civil war millions died. In the Western crisis, the problem was restricted to the locale in the civil war the Biafra army attempted to reach lagos.

Which zone was the political war zone? Both. Scale? No contest - SE

Those who forget history repeat it

It's very easy to play politics of sweetness when you are in power.

That is why in a football match, the winning coach will hug and shake everybody.

You see those Igbos, I stayed with them for good 3years in Ezinifite-Uga Aguata local Govt, they are very bitter. They hate themselves.

that's why in South West PDP LP APC NNPP got considerable votes unlike south east where LP got 90 plus percent of votes... Again pple should even know that only APC PDP can win president elections... LP doesn't have the structure or spread to do that which is why in nass they don't have any number to cause any influence in nass...
