They dodged this. They only said the news reaching them from their head office is that return ticket is compulsory for students
Ridiculous people.

They should refund the monies for those that booked already.

I just left their office now at Victoria Island. The return ticket thing was confirmed to be true.

Hmmm so the person that responded to me doesn't know what he was saying? Well, someone here is due to fly with them next weekend, we shall hear from. One irccboy or so.

Egyptair customer care service though. Called again and the guy that picked this time said it's a new development been discussed and has not been officially decided. That he heard of it just this morning. So I asked him about fate of students that has booked earlier and he said a decision will be taken that o should call back tomorrow. Lol. He didn't even sound sure of what he was saying.

Hello everyone
Please please
I just got my student visa
I was informed by IRCC on the 30th of june
My problem now is that my passport would expire in 5months time and I've already applied to renew it which i was told it would be out by next week and IRCC has given me 30days to submit my passport which the deadline should be 30th of this month.

The bigger problem is I'm not sure that passport will really be out by next week like they said because this is Nigeria so in the worst case scenario it's not out yet is it advisable that i use my old passport with 5months to expire then when the new one comes out i could merge them both together.
Please help I'm confused i really need to know what to do.
God bless you.

Go to the Immigration office where you had your biometrics with the letter from IRCC, request to see the PCO and show the PCO the letter. Let the PCO know you have a deadline to meet, he/she will help you. Or go to servicom at the same office and show them the letter, it almost usually help.

You can’t use a passport less than 6 months. If you are so sure your passport won’t be ready, simply ask for extension via webform explaining why you can’t meet up with the deadline
