I already reminded Obainojazz, but he will probably say the strike was a APGA propaganda against Obi. Na him dey claim say the 2 succesors to Obi dey lie now
Universities went on strike, does that mean they are not getting paid.

You’ve been here saying people shouldn’t complain about subsidy removal that it takes balls to be a leader.

Someone decided Hospitals and schools won’t act as they like and they all went on strike.

Since that decision, we’ve been consistently top three in health care and secondary education.

We having the best nursing school now built by same Obi… when I was visiting one public hospital there… you literally have one nurse to a patient sometimes and they actually do a good job with great customer service.

Schools are better managed now that it’s in private hands but funded by the government… Hospital and schools should have boards with sense not ghost workers in ministries.

Obiano generated what grin
Let’s take our current IGR of 30bill per month… That’s 240 in 8years which is less than the airport cost.

Let’s add Federal allocation of about 400bill in four years (exaggerated).

That’s a total of 740 billion…. How much he use build airport, paid salaries, built roads, “paid back 185bill debt”

Is Anambra debt free currently for you to say he paid back 185bn?

You are arguing from a wrong premise. How did you get the information that Anambra built the airport for $1.2bn

We like throwing numbers around in Nigeria sha. Shey Anambra wey the annual budget according to deadpresidents is about 300-400m Naira

This yers budget of Anambra is 259bn Naira which is about $350M. yet we believe 4 times of it was spent on an airport. Shey people for the state no chop for that 4yrs

Money wey them go loot. Then they will go to every radio stations to announce that they have lifted millions of Nigerians out of poverty with the 8k monthly familly allowance.

You will see some paid actors on Television praising the govt of Tinubu for his kind heart...lol.

Now you see the danger of having weak ass leaders?
It could also be argued that it's why standing on principles is more important than having positions vacillate based on who's expressing an opinion. Raumdeuter that's today saying subsidy removal is the best thing since sliced bread was then arguing that the removal was ill-timed, even though the economic conditions were better then than they are today. The BAT that removed the subsidy today then wrote an essay that is just as relevant today as it was then, but because he was looking to get power in 11 or so year's time, he played an active role in Nigeria pissing away its opportunity to remove subsidy removal.

We work with the realities of every time. At time it was okay for Nigeria to be playing big brother to other countries and be helping them finance budget and solve internal crisis, Now its no longer okay since we have bigger problems

In 2011 we were almost debt free in 2023 we are neck deep in debt. Our creditors wont even lend us money again if we keep up. We were using 100% of our income to service debt

So even if we want subsidy in 2023, it has to be with more and more debts which I believe many people especialy Obidients hate

Where have you seen airport built for $18million and dubbed the most modern in Nigeria from your screenshots?

We live in a Dynamic world not static. Positions vacillate based on new realities.

Stop looking for Moral emotions from political actors, they lost that sense ages ago.

Based on Okonjo Iweala Book that I read, Jonathan was well appraised on the Subsidy removal issue, in fact, All the major Government agencies were prepared for the pressure and protest that will arise from the removal, Okonjo even wrote that she told Jonathan how intense the pressure will get and advices him to hold out as that is what is best for the country to move forward.

But Jonathan buckle under pressure, I’m not going to blame anyone apart from him.

As I've just said, NEVER expect objectivity from dayo as far as politics is concerned. The tribal bias is extreme.

Blueray has posted here before how dayo himself was vehemently against subsidy removal under Jonathan.

Today he has changed mouth because his person has said the same.

When you catch dayo in contradiction of himself, he smiles and deflects as to how it shows that he's smart in making any side of an argument. It's all about winning an argument even though lives are involved.

You supported the Naira policy bro, rest easy on the plight and insensitivity to Nigerians.

Heck you supported a painful policy that was more political than economical, you wouldn’t know insensitivity if it hit you in the face.

Fair point, and I get, just wasn't comfortable with BAT being hailed as some sort of hero for removing subsidy given his precedents. He has removed it, all well and good.

Anyone thats not a psych patient should suggest what the govt should have done instead

1. We are paying subsidy with debt. At a time 100% of National income was used to pay subsidy

What should we do?

Option 1 remove subsidy - If you agree to remove subsidy what do you understand by it and what do you really expect when subsidy is removed

Option 2 Continue with subsidy with borrowed funds which 100% of national income pays

He is a hero for removing it. Almost all former presidents knew it was the right thing to do, promised to do it but chickened out for their selfish political goodwill

Tinubu is willing to sacrifice his political goodwill from day 1 to remove subsidy and do the right thing

Raumdeuter u campaigned and clamored support for Tinubu and APC at a time when we were still reeling from the colossal failure of Buhari’s administration . You professed ur belief that Tinubu was coming to apply the balm of Gilead at a time we were trying to heal from the misery Buhari unleashed on this nation.

There’s no harm in campaigning for ur candidtate and actually relishing in the sweetness of his eventual victory at the polls.

But permit me to ask , would it hurt ur ego so bad to just admit Tinubu made a wrong call with the subsidy removal , floating of naira and the attendant problem happening before our own eyes ? Just look at Larride calling a spade a spade and not oversized spoon for feeding baby dinosaurs .

Egbon e pity wa now ! Edakun 🙏

Does this hardship affect dayo? No

Instead of admitting tinubu's wrong call, he will turn Amala on it.

It affects la.rride that's why he speak up and he's a guy that doesn't have time for Amala turning.

What of Oasis? He will soon come here shinning teeth and posting pictures up-and-down.

Why will it be the FG responsibility to donate buses when they have increased state allocation? why can't state used the increased allocation to buy what their people need. Nasarawa need buses, Bayelsa needs canoes, Katsina needs camels

Seems most Nigerians havent come to terms with what a Federal system of govt means. Its the state and LGA who are closer to the people that will cater to their needs the most. We all vote governors lets hold them accountble

Lmao.. We were borrowing to pay subsidy.. Please someone tell me how buhari was able to get nnpc to handle that payment even though it was a Limited Company.

How did buhari figure out it was possible to do that?
If tinubu had done that knowing he didn't have any Immediate plans plus the fact politicians were going to insult us with this 70b thing.. Then maybe we would be breathing a little bit easier

Doesn’t mean Federal government can’t step in…. Even in US and Australia where states have more powers… The Federal. Government do step in sometimes.

Tinubu removed subsidy and not state governors He did that without consulting them and rubbing minds together.

Some governors literally just got elected and he’s already putting them in this situation.

Why should the FG step in here? Is it that the governors are not competent to do what they got voted in to do?
The FG has stepped in enough by giving more money to the states to help their people.
Do you want the FG to go over the SG and give to the people? Who will be in charge of maintenance of the vehicle? Will that be state govt? or will it be FG?
State gov Makinde will say I didn't send you message to buy buses when you want to dump maintenance on me. This is how the buses will get auctioned to Young shall Grow or Agofure in 9months abi FG will create another ministry for maintenance of FG vehicles when we already have overbloated spending
