Why Is Opposition Not Organising For Protests? by Kukutenla: 2:07pm On Jul 19, 2023
With the state of the economy and the general mood of the nation, the ground is ripe for a protest. The opposition led by Obi is giving the ruling party too much breathing space.
He got over 68% in Abuja the capital and won in Lagos the commercial capital, as well as in Port Harcourt and Benin City. Atiku also won in Kaduna while Kwankwaso won Kano. In all, this shows that the silent majority are not in support of this govt. Leaving the masses to their fate in the hands of this terrible government will mean that they are complicit or at least tacitly support the strangulating policies.
Obi for example can stage a solidarity walk in Abuja while he leaves Lagos for the likes of Rinu, Falz and Macaroni to remove any ethnic labelling.
If the opposition fails to seize this moment, they can as well forget about the cases in court and more importantly 2027 as it will mean the ruling party has no alternative to its misfiring. No court will remove a sitting govt when the opposition does not even seem strong enough to show up and cause them some discomfort. Neither will INEC fail to pander to the whims of a ruling party if this level of complacency from the opposition continues.

You want Obi to protest against something he has always advocated for when he was Governor of Anambra state and even recently as a failed presidential candidate?

What will be his excuse?

That he is not the one implementing it?

Even if you must protest, it must start in Peter Obi's Anambra state, just as Tinubu did his own in 2012 in his Lagos State while Anambra led by Obi remained opposed to the protest.

Do you want DSS to use them as target practices and label them IPOB?

Secondly, DSS will charge the organizers with terrorism funding. You know what terrorism means from the DSS perspective. IPON, ESN, Unknown gunmen.

Your logic falls flat on the face of the fact that the man presently implementing the policies ruthlessly and thoughtlessly also fought against the same policy before.
What is good for the goose, should be good for the gander except you mean Tinubu is always right!

You forgot how DSS accused the opposition of planning an interim government but chickened out when the NASS told them to name and arrest those involved.

You're still butressing my point. If the opposition can muster the courage to start the protest, they can get more support along the way. But if they can't, then it means they are to scared to try

OP this is not a matter of even being scared because of endsars especially.

Strength no dey again and the sane Nigerians have tried their very best. We protest they say we should take anger to ballot box. We voted and they rigged the election only for a foolish moderator (which I'm surprised that God gave a brain but cant utilize it) has the the guts to say that

" a candidate can win election even if he loses in all the states"

With people like this you think this country will move foward? Nne hapu ya.

No opposition is leading any protest, if you're pained by the increment, start the protest, others may join.

Actually. It's overfill. An hungry man is an angry man.
The truth is even you APC's supporters are victims of your own machinations. You don't enjoy what's going on but you can't complain so you have to put a bold face. If a protest were to start today, a lot of you will be secretly happy

The Yorubas and their many civil rights activists are usually the ones that spearhead protests in Nigeria.

Who will spearhead Peter Obi's protest. Which activist will find Peter Obi worthy enough to protest for him? Sowore that could maybe have started it, obidients have insulted the hell out of than man grin

Go through my post. I have written countless times how this is no surprise and inevitable and we are well prepared for. You can't eat your cake and have it. The problem with you people is you don't like the truth and love living in a fantasy world.

Zxcvbnmghtr:
I don't know why it is the same people who were wishing that this government should bring suffering to the people are the same people crying and complaining.

Tinubu should never look back he should continue in this right direction. We are very aware of this calculated painful measures which guarantees alot of gains in the end.

Zxcvbnmghtr:

Poverty want kill this one. grin

It was well anticipated and prepared for. We are not like Obi supporers who think there is a button in ASO Rock that will instantly solve Nigeria's challenges with in a second when pressed. grin

We are not suffering from delusion nor fantasizing the ridiculous.

May Tinubu government continue to favour me and my family. Amen!

So the protest is for Peter Obi? Peter Obi isn't leading any protest, let Nigerians enjoy what they 'voted' for.

Whether Peter Obi, whether Atiku. No one is going on any yeye protest.

It was not Nigerians that told Peter Obi and Atiku and kwawansiya to divide their votes amongst themselves which brought about Tinubu.
