I recently got a UK used iphone 13 few weeks ago,,

It's factory unlocked,, I wiped the phone before making the purchase,, I checked the battery health and all necessary things, but I don't take note of something,, which is sth that is not usually talked about while purchasing a UK used iphone.

Under the settings, I realized that they wrote that the phone is " being supervised by Chevron corporation"...
It's has been there since I got it but I don't give attention to it...

But today when I checked to read what it entails, I was surprised at what I saw..

When I did a few check, I learnt that it's a company phone, and I can be logged out of it cos the company has full access to it and all my personal details on the phone

Who has had this experience before,,, what's the way out? Or is it safe like that??

Probably the phone was stolen abroad and found its way to Nigeria. Majority of the phones and cars you see in nigeria are stolen abroad.

I can fix that. It is an Organisation phone. Ie MDM

It is a stolen phone, and the company know who you are, where you lived and your different activities with the phone. If the organization decides to pursue you now, the Nigerian police will parade you before the first week of the next month.

Lol.. the serial number (IMEI) is in used.

Changing the IMEI and flashing the phone will remove it,the best thing to do is return it and tell the person to give you another phone or make sure it is removed.

On phone the process might be different though but on laptop, there are different type,some will lock you out immediately it connects to the internet.

Better pray the phone wasn't stolen in an armed robbery attack or the owner wasn't shot dead.

Just return this phone to where you bought it from and get a replacement. I got a UK used Samsung A6 that was monitored by a hospital in the US. Omo, the phone got locked over and over again and I lost all my data.

Hackers will have very easy access to this iphone you own.

Your phone was probably sold be an employee of Chevron or stolen from him/her.
However, your phone is on MDM, which means; Mobile device management (MDM) is a proven methodology and toolset used to provide a workforce mobile productivity tools and applications while keeping corporate data secure.

It can be removed or bypassed. Reach out to the seller to help you remove or have it bypassed.

Can flashing such phone change the imei ?

If you what is good for you, return that phone unless you will go to jail and you will be spending nothing less than 2 million to free yourself.
