Hello House, I applied for a USA B1/B2 visa in June Ending. Upon filling out the https://portal.ustraveldocs.com/ to book an appointment, I was informed I will get am email to book an appointment. When I waited for a week, I was worried, I sent an email requesting to know the delay in sending me the link to book an appointment, to which they responded that I will receive an email once my request is approved. Now I am worried because I need to attend a conference in October this year. Anybody in such a situation or have experienced such can please advise me on what to do. |

CandyDiva: If you all don't mind, she should push her trip forward. If you will re-apply immediately, then the 3 of you should declare intention to jointly sponsor her trip (100%), with all of you providing your documents. The issue of the first application will come up, she should be ready to explain it away. (She was promised a vacation by you guys and you guys gave her the money she had in the account) 2 Likes |

Malevonent:if you transit in Egypt with Egyptair, your passport will not be stamped since you did not leave the International Airside. Egyptair is not really bad, expect no luxury, getting to U.S is the most important thing and I can assist with cheap ticket although with the exchange rates you won't find any cheap ticket nowadays. 2 Likes |

JaySterling: Not sure if you meant scheduling in London rather than rescheduling as you haven't already scheduled an appointment in Belfast if i have understood your statement correctly. It's okay to schedule in London even though you filled Belfast in your DS-160. All you need to do is fill up another DS-160 (not mandatory) before you attend your interview in London otherwise there might be slight delay during your interview as the visa officer would need to first transfer your application electronically from Belfast to London before your actual interview commences (time consuming- takes couple of minutes.) Hope this information helps. |

Please I need your thoughts on this please. I have a B1/B2 expiring 27th of October but I filled on my DS 160 I’d be traveling October 13th and since I head it takes 2 months for IW applications to be approved I applied for the IW with my daughter June 15th. My daughter own came back approved about 1 week after. I only just received mine today with a pick form. Attached underneath I need to travel like in 2 weeks and I have already bought ticket already. My concerns now are 1. My ticket is till December 4th as my sister just had a baby and I want to help while my current Visa expires in October. 2. Why was my daughter approved and I asked to rebook another appointment. 3. This appointment is it another IW or a normal appointment 4. Since my previous visa is still valid can I still go ahead and use it? 5. If I travel with this visa would I have issues at the POE since I have been asked to book another appointment? Please advice I’m confused

You don’t qualify because your visa hasn’t expired yet. You can enter the us before your visa expires. piscesnow: 1 Like |

piscesnow:You’re only eligible for IW three months before expiration of current visa and 48 months after its expiration. You didn’t read the instructions before submitting so you set yourself up for interview. Your current visa is valid and if it wasn’t cancelled just yet then you can travel on it, I’ve seen stories like this in the birthing thread many years ago. 1 Like |

Debbieeeeeee:I agree that I set myself up but I did read the instructions about 3 months before but I assumed since it took about 2 months to get it approved I would have fallen in to the 3 months period but I was obviously wrong.
