Looks like food poisoning to me, because there is no way a new born baby can survive carbon monoxide inhalation.

This is not a mere occurrence, it's not a coincidence. There's a human evil manipulation involved. What I don't know is if it was done physically or spiritually

You are one of the problems of Nigeria. You clearly read carbon monoxide poisoning and still trying to manipulate the next to your selfish narrative.

Illiterates everywhere.
j
If there was stable power supply these ones would still be alive..

This is some of the reasons why life expectancy in Nigeria is very low..

You are more like to die an avoidable death in Nigeria..

Don't be surprised that the two that made it to the hospital were not quickly attended to or were not treated intensively...

Japa isn't all about money..

Rest in peace to them..

I just wish that 4 day old baby that survived would have just leave this world with the Family. Nobody should have to grow up or be in this world under this circumstances.. It's a pity..

May God be with the little kid.

Fake story!

Did he put the generator inside his bedroom?

Is he the only one using generator in Nigeria?

Ibos and fabricated stories.

What’s with the ‘Anambra man’ headline!?

It’s like there’s a concerted effort to trawl the net looking for negative/morbid news connected with the south-east/Igbo, just so a new thread can be created on it and have it hurriedly rushed to homepage!

There is more to this than meet the eye. That felicitator must be arrested. Whatever gas that couldn't kill a 4days old baby but killed two adults. I want to know

The man had to put on the generating set stationed at the veranda close to the bedroom.

Who in the hell still does this kind of thing? How can u put on gen inside the house?

“The celebration continued into the night before they all slept off and didn’t remember to put off the generating set.

In this Tinubu era, people can still forget to off gen? The guy must have been a rich guy

People should learn to hide their success, what is there to celebrate, you move to a new house, you call friends that are hidden enemies to come celebrate, are you the first person to move to new house, showing have brought more pain than joy , stop celebrating your success with Nigerians their hearts are black and evil.hide your blessings from them if you can. Your thanks and praise and celebration belongs to God who enables you to achieve success.this people might have been poisoned.

A Middle-Aged Man, his wife and two children died after reportedly inhaling poisonous fumes from generating set at their residence in Nkwele Ezunaka, near Onitsha, Anambra State, Reports.

gathered Ifeanyi from Enugu state, a trader at Onitsha Bridge Head Market, had planned a surprise package of moving into a new apartment for his wife who put to bed few days ago.

A family source said it was same night they moved into the apartment to celebrate both the new born baby and the mansion together that the incident occurred.

The source said: “The entire members of the family were enjoying themselves when suddenly there was a power outage. The man had to put on the generating set stationed at the veranda close to the bedroom.

“The celebration continued into the night before they all slept off and didn’t remember to put off the generating set.

“The next morning, a friend who supposed to join them in the celebration but was unable went to felicitate with them only to discover that the doors were locked with the generating set still on.

“After knocking continuously without response, he alerted other neighbours who forced the door open and saw the lifeless bodies.”

further learnt that the wife and one of the daughters were still unconscious when they were rushed to Borromeo hospital but later died after efforts to resuscitate them, including fixing them on oxygen failed.

“It was only the 4-day old baby survived without any crisis which raised more curiosity on the circumstances of the death of others,” the source added.

Manager of St. Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onistha, Rev. Fr. Izunna Okonkwo confirmed that only the new born baby was in stable condition when they reached the hospital, while other four had already died before arrival to the facility.

Also confirming the report, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, described it as unfortunate, saying circumstances surrounding their death were still unknown.

“Yes, the unfortunate incident happen and we are yet unravel the circumstances surrounding their death.

“The Commissioner of Police directed the Divisional Police Officer in the area to find out what happened.

“The information he gathered shows it happened and the particular house has been identified while the inquiry is still ongoing.”

Mysterious circumstance.
Whatever killed the other people could conveniently have killed the new baby too. But no!

The fragile baby was able to survive carbon monoxide while the older ones died. Over to scientists for possible explanation.

Don't believe everything you read on the media, a very closed pal explained what happened to them , it wasn't generator fumes that killed them

Likely cause might be because of high levels of Fetal hemoglobin F in the baby hence can extract oxygen more efficiently even in hypoxic conditions unlike adult hemoglobin A. This is the reason a child's hemoglobin genotype can only be determined after about a year unless u use techniques like HPLC. My explanation is my opinion tho.

I am not a scientist but I am forced to believe because of the terminologies you have used.

Please don't rest on your oars regarding this your opinion. It could become a major medical awareness or breakthrough that will catapult you into greater heights.
Make use of other available research sites as well.

Good luck, bro!
