We all know the winner and we don't expect the order of the day to relinquish it without a fight. If it's obvious to them they might not win the case, they may decide to push and negotiate for a rerun to perfect their crime against the electorate, afterall, they are in power now...

And for this man to be make this kinda call now means something dey smell.

Aside from the obvious rigging that happened in Rivers, I doubt anyone other than Tinubu was genuinely going to win. Certianly not Obi who would never have won in the north. That is my own opinion and that is just by the side.

Legally, what the LP have said is that a rerun should be granted on the grounds that INEC did not substantially comply with the Electoral Act - which is based on not uploading results to iRev live. What the Courts will look at is the doctrine of substantial compliance. Did INEC substantially comply with the law or not? The answer is yes. All the noise being made about iRev doesn't matter because uploading results in real-time to iRev is not what the law requires.

Aside from this, there is no other argument to justify a rerun. If they success in getting Tinubu removed on ground that he had a drug conviction, or that Shettima was doubly nominated, the Courts will simply award the victory to Atiku.

A rerun is always the last resort.
