Hello House,

Please someone with experience and knowledge should help and attend to my question.

1) Is it possible to use my uncle's Bank Statement or someone I didn't share a similar surname as a sponsor when presenting MY POF to the University or Embassy?

2) what are the possible documents to present to the embassy to support my claim that I am related to the sponsor and that he is a genuine sponsor? Also, what should be the validity period of the bank statements?

3) what are the additional documents from the sponsor that can support the application apart from the bank statements?

NeuroToby:
My candid advise is to use someone who has same surname with you. People have used this your kind of arrangement and have worked in the past, but with the recent development with visa grant delay and refusal, you want to make sure that everything is right on point.

For whoever it is that you'd be using their bank statement, you will need to back the statement up with proof of income source. For instance, if they run a business, business certificate, 'director's form', and tax clearance should be fine, if they work someone, pay slips(salary statement) would be required.

If you insist on using your uncle, the you must be ready to prove your relationship with him beyond any doubt, and also proof that he has significantly catered for your need in the past. That is the only thing that can convince VO that you truly have access to the funds.

Thank you so much for your contribution

Hello Everyone.

Please I have a question. My wife is looking to study for a bachelor's degree in Melbourne, Australia. She is 25 yrs old and she just wrote another WAEC this year 2023 (The previous Waec was not good).

My question is with her circumstances, Does she stand a chance to study in Australia?
