Don't be in a rush to blame him..... it could easily be a federal road whose allocation has been eaten repeatedly

If sensibility dwells in allowing people from enclaves of Eni Osun and Iragbiji without motorable roads ridicule THE HEARTBEAT of Nigeria because of mere water on tarred road, may it be far from me. Why on earth will a region with worst governors and terrible political choices since the fourth republic always try to criticise governors from other zone? Aren't theirs worse? Must every governor be in APC to be on their good books? Has anyone written such demeaning things about Oyetola, the worst governor in the history of mankind?
All these governors are scammers that's the point it's not a matter of Igbo Yoruba or Hausa it is a painful problem.

Another familiar tactics from our noisy neighbours. Unfortunately, we don't do such ethic rubbish here in Edo. Keep it to the west where Awori, Ijebu, and Egbira fight one another for leadership. We've done our turn in Benin with Obaseki. It's time to support our brothers from the other side; same way the supported us to save Edo from the evil hands of APC. APC is dead in our state politics. Deal with it.

All these tantrums on Obaseki we fully understand are attempts to make inroads to people's heart before 2024. Common boy, we are enlightened people. No way for you guys again.

The fools commenting above won't tell you what Obaseki and his predecessor had done to reduce the flood on that road. Whatever you do on Ugbowo Lagos Road, there must be water on the road during rainfall. It takes just minutes to go away after the rain. Please, free my govo.
There is nothing like that.
This is the result of Poor planning.
No drainage problem that cannot be solved.
Only those who live in swamp areas that can say what you are saying.

Ikpoba river is there to channel the water into
With qualified engineers and transparent funding they can solve it.

sentiments will lead you no where, it is impossible to compare obaseki to lucky igbinedion, lucky igbinedion is light years ahead of obaseki.
Sometimes I wonder if you guys are normal.
Obaseki is not just the worse governor in edo history but the worse in the history of Nigerian politics.
Where in your existence have you seen a governor campaigning with a renovated stadium and renovated state secretariat?
Since you were born have you ever seen a governor campaigning with a pedestrian bridge?
Comparing obaseki to chief lucky igbinedion is a big Insult to lucky igbinedion.
Obaseki ruined edo education system from tertiary to primary to the extent communities now employ teachers by themselves, students now take chairs to schools by themselves an example is uhunmora secondary school, army day secondary school in Benin city.
You said obaseki has done more quality of roads, you are a liar, what quality of road when the only few kilometers of road he did got washed away within few weeks, example is the ohovbe road he did at agbor Park.
A man that ruled a state for over one year without a single commissioner? Have you heard that in Nigeria before?
He has handed the state specialist hospital to his friend from delta state and poor edolites can't even access that hospital anymore.
He shut down tertiary Institutions for years in the name of renovation, shut down new buildings built by his predecessor at new Era girls school for just no effing reason.
This useless man has taken edo back to the 1990s Era again.
This same flooding issues would have been addressed if he had continued the oshiomhoke water storm project but he has refused to continue the project.
Upon all his borrowings nothing to show.
If you claim his better than lucky, list his projects he has started and completed in seven years and I will list lucky igbinedion projects let's compare them.

It's either you are blind or you can't read.

I said QUANTITY not QUALITY.

Or you soak tooooo much garri during these hard times.

Firstly I hate obaseki as a human being or a friend. He's a snitch and has emotional-insecurity issues.

Talking about storm water project, let me make it clear with u. Oshiomole didn't go further than connecting the drainages to the underground table-water and already-existing moats.

Obaseki has build more than 10 ponds.

He bought existing properties from owners to build those ponds.
1. Godwin omonowo(the who estate)
2. Erediauwa road(off sapele/off upper sakponba road.
3. Powerline, Abuja quarters (Near BUI)
4. Off airport road(Pass thru ogiesoba street)
5. Off central road(back of oba eware school)
6. Off rueben agho(behind greater tomorrow)

These are tooo mention a few.

He did a good job. But to me I score then below 50%. As he didnt protect the shores/edges/pavements of these ponds.

With time, erosion would wash out the edges of these ponds. He should have used either interlocking tiles or concrete floor to protect the edges.

But comparing oshiomoles work to obaseki in respect of storm water project would be very silly/naive of you.

Oshiomole did not direct any of those floods to any newly made facility.

Airport road was easy, cos he directed all the floods to ogba river.

He tried to do the same with all the floods going to 5junction-moat, but it was a failed ploject.

Very failed project.
Obaseki had to start afresh with that 5junction moat to consume the flood.

As for lucky: he is the worst both as A HUMAN BEING and as A GOVERNOR.
Lucky's biggest legacies should be.
1. Interlocking times on IGUN Street.
2. Lucky way(side of ramat park.
3. Iyekoba housing estate(which every current tenant have demolished the rubbish lucky built there).

Say no more my friend.

vehicles that ply that road quote? Which ugbowo and agbor roads are in good shape? This is his 7th year Ekehuan road is still uncompleted
quote author=Osariemen1post=124597757]

Same Sapele Road Oshomole and Obaseki worked on. Let's be honest, the possibility of flooding during and after rainfall in Benin City is high, and it doesn't start today. From Ugbowo to Agbo Road, Uselu to Aduwawa, Tv Road to Textile Mill Road, Ekehuan Road to Okhoro. And these roads are in good shapes, by Nigeria's standards. We experienced same thing during Oshiomole and I don't think the next governor can do anything about it.

What I won't permit is someone living in the dirty waters of Ogbomosho or Udi to malign my hardworking governor because we rejected APC at the polls in 2020. Yes, Edo no be Lagos, the slum headquarters of West Africa. .
quote author=kokorokoman post=124597946]I am from edo state and I will say edo state cannot be compared to any state in South South or South West in terms of roads.
The only good road in edo were the ones done by the previous govts.
This obaseki is a curse to not only edo state but to the Nigerian political space.
Never in my life have I seen anything as useless as this man, just come to Benin and see for yourself.
Edolites are busy building houses but there's no single road to connect them.
Everyday he will just come on air and start speaking Grammer, "industrial clauses" and nonsense Grammer.
This man is a big punishment to us here in Benin.
Oshiomole did more important p ojects than obaseki. However fewer.

Obaseki has done far more quantity of roads than oshiomole, but those roads are not as MAJOR as the ones Oshiomole did. Never

The roads are majorly disposable roads, give most of the rods six months and the rest is history

The major roads that are good in Benin were all done by the previous administrations.
Obaseki came to edo state to only destroy the little he met.
Can you list obasekis project he started and finish for seven years now?
Do you think he is the most useless governor in Nigeria for no reason?

Grins

Let me try and help him out

Ekehuan road

Tenboga road

Arbor road

Sapele road

Ovia Bridge

Evboriaria road

Roads that local governments will.do the state has hijacked. Meanwhile no local government election for years now in Edo state. Tax is collected from motorist that ply the roads but when it comes to.fixing the road is now federal

Obviously ethnic bigotry has gotten the better of you. Your second paragraph exposed you.

Firstly, you have no right to call anyone dirty. At least not on this thread that we're seeing the peak of dirt in your state.

Secondly, Ogbomosho isn't a dirty place and it isn't a riverine area so calling it dirty waters is out of place.

Thirdly, let's assume that Ogbomosho is dirty. Is that enough reason for you to defend incompetence?

Now, to your first paragraph. In this age of technology and enlightenment you have the gut to open your mouth and say NOTHING can be done to fix this small flooding?! You're a wicked liar.
