What you can do is claim single, get an approval of custodianship from the mother and then notarize it for a legal backing. People have children outside wedlock

I paid the fee through a friend in Ghana and got receipt which would be part of what they will ask you for in their response.
After that, I went to DHL office near me and sent the passport. Vfs couriered it back.

I see your points here. Like I said earlier, we were married before but no legal documents backing it up as the wedding didn't involve court, it's only traditional and/religious. Now we're separated. Obviously, no legal documents to back that up either since the wedding didn't take place in court.

There's no "separated" except "legally separated/Divorce" in the EE form. This is where the whole thing is dicey, I am confused as to the best to select for my case.

Note that I am not travelling with the 2 kids yet, nobody is accompanying me but I have to declare them

I don't get why you appear in denial. But you were actually married and now divorced, just not legally yet. Approach a marriage lawyer and make it legal. Otherwise, consult one and get legal advice.

Exactly. That even makes it more fishy because why are you selling land to get money just to visit Canada? It shows you won’t come back if they give you visa. That probably will count/ counted against you too

I applied for my UK PCC on the 25th January and chose to have it delivered to my address in Nigeria.

On 8th February, I received an email that it was ready and would be dispatched.

One month after (8th March), nothing. Sent an email to customer services and called them. Then I provided them with an address in the UK for them to send a replacement copy. The replacement copy was sent a week after to the UK address.

Mine and my wife's took about 4 weeks or so. It was delivered to us in France. If you are based in the UK, it should get to you quicker hopefully. 😉

If you don't finalize the divorce, things could get quickly complicated for you if your ex-spouse writes IRCC. If you are not clear about your situation, it will amount to misrepresentation.

Congrats. This is a season of good news! did u notice if/ when Background/Eligibility checks changed to Completed,before the RFV?
Which VFS did u book? Why not use courier, so you can send immediately or at an earlier date of ur choice?

On tracker, it changed to completed the same day. Hours before getting the RFV mail.

On GCkey, it was still showing ‘processing’. Although there was a final decision update the day before (July 17)

I got Aug 10 at first then 5 days later i rescheduled and got July ending..retry you might be lucky

i dont think that is a problem , as far as govt is concern you are not married legally because you dont have a proof . Of Course your children will obviously have a mother. That doesnt make her your legal wife
