Hello guys. Please, is it wise to get a tft display replacement for a Samsung AMOLED display? If anyone has tried doing it before, please do advice me.

I'm a technician and I've done it several times, if you can afford the expensive AMOLED version of your Samsung, then go for it. If you can only afford the TFT or LED version due to financial constraints, do it. There is almost no noticeable difference in battery life when compared plus you've got a functioning device, only difference is colour reproduction. And amoled screens don't show colours as vibrant as LED screens and that's a plus.

Samsung gurus, Please i need help. I got a samsung s9 plus phone 6gb/64gb from a friend that sells phone. It came with a sealed box like a brand new but i am sure it is refurbished but get hot when streaming online. .. He brought another to me but the phone is 6gb/256gb and when i checked through imei.info website with the imei number and i saw 6gb/128gb which is also refurbished. I hope thats not a problem?

Secondly, i wanted to use my first bank app and it displayed that the phone is rooted and would be vulnerable.. but the phone status displays "official" but i installed superSU app which shows it is rooted. Please should i return the phone and get the first one back which is not rooted but has a lower storage capacity or should i keep the rooted phone?

If i should keep the rooted phone, hope my data wont be vulnerable or how should i unroot it without a pc ?

I just need an advice on what to do generally. Thank you all

Nice one bro. Forget about rooting. You really don't need it unless you are a developer.

For the updates, check the network provider that it was locked to before. If it's AT&T, you won't get updates. Verizon and Sprint, yes you'll get it.

Boss!

But the funny thing is that... these Samsung Centres and CarlCare aftersale service do send the devices out to independent repairers to fix sometimes, especially when you have to wait more than a few days for your device

You're safe, feel free to use the device as you wish. The device may have been locked to a network provider abroad and thr only way to bypass this sim restriction is to use a set of combination firmware and that is pretty much why it was rooted and bootloader unlocked. Just install a good root manager and take charge of your rooted device as no harm was intended.

P.S once you get used to using a rooted device with all its perks, individual customization and fine tweaking, you may never want to use a non rooted device EVER again.

Thank you so much for your time and advice. I'm very calm now. I was about taking the phone to him now before I saw your response.

A quick one please. If I install a good root manager as you advised, can I be able to use my bank app?

You can as well recommend one for me to install.

Pardon me, I'm not really good with tech. grin. Thanks once again.

Magisk Manager is a very good root management app plus it supports plugins too which can help you hide root and trick bank apps to think your device is rooted and work properly but, search on telegram for your device model group and join them so you can learn more about your device and how to do certain things with root.

If the fingerprint works, then it's AMOLED! LED screens have too many films and polarized thin films that would obstruct any scanner from working.

For rooted samsung devices, you would manually download the latest update from sammobile.com and flash it via Samsung ODIN software on your pc.

If less than 100k, you may not get all the spec you want, just some. Try A04, A04s of 2023 the A13,A22 of last year

Oga must it be an old model, getting brand new is not possible, it will be refurbished. Just check the market for 2021-2023 models and have peace of mind and usage
