drip line. Am not too sure, and didn't do a Google research, but from my pont of view, it looks like a controlled drip hole. It seems like the top layer is slighly curved towards that hole. If there is a spill, it can go in the middle as supposed to the sides.

bro that’s not a sitting stool. That’s a stool table for eating outside. It’s lawn furniture hence why it’s plastic and as it’s Lawn and outside furniture , if it starts raining you put a special umbrella through that hole to prevent wet food

It helps to prevent formation of a vacuum between stacked stools. By relieving the air pressure, the holes facilitate the process of unstacking I. E if you stack the chairs together and want to unstack them, it will stuck and be very difficult to remove without that hole at the middle
