Some aggrieved Muslim youths recently took to the streets of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, to demonstrate their displeasure with famous singer, Davido who posted a video clip offensive to Islam on his Twitter page.

Many prominent Nigerian Muslims including former aide to ex-president Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, Senator Shehu Sani, actor, Ali Nuhi, asked Davido to take down the video and apologise to Muslims for “disrespecting” their religion.

Most of these bunch of idiotas will not protest N700/Litre of fuel increase and will not protest fraud and mismanagement of the country by politicians.

I'm a Christian but applaud this.

We Christians are so relaxed when it comes to defending our faith. That is why you will see some naked girls dancing with Holy Rosary on their necks. And people doing jokes and shouting Jesus and using the name for vain things. I support any measure to curb these excesses that is not a violent approach. My only problem is when people start killing in the name of religion. If imposing saction has been Muslim approach to reprimanding bad behavior towards their religion, nobody will be complaining.
