Who you got? I believe Spence's only path to victory is a knockout

It is a tough one. Even boxing experts are all over the place on this one and some of them have flip flopped. I am a Spence guy from Day 1 so i am probably the wrong person to ask. He is the bigger and stronger fighter and has a high pressure/high work rate style that many struggle to deal with while Bud is the skilled, faster fighter with knockout power from both orthodox and southpaw stances.

Bud actually has a greater knockout potential in a vacuum cos he has the faster, snappier punches (those ones you don't see) unlike Spence whose punches are the slower, heavier ones (which is why he is a body snatcher). What Spence does is to inflict cumulative punishment on the body and then pummel the face. Can Spence adjust to a fighter that switches from orthodox to southpaw mid-sequence and can Crawford adjust to a stronger, busier fighter with a verified chin?

The decider really will be about what will be the first to fold, Spence's chin or Bud's body. Neither of them has ever faced a fighter of the calibre of the other fighter. Other things to consider are how have inactivity and the car accident depreciated Spence's skills. The reason i think points favours Spence is because he is a far busier fighter than Crawford who might find himself behind on points very quickly in the bout and therefore need a knockout. Where you might be right though, is that Crawford's chin is not verified unlike Spence's.

Owu sa gi! Owu don blow alfa finish.

I listened to a voice note yesterday evening and the alfa was complaining that things are dry o, that they don't see functions to attend/officiate again. The yeye guy on the other end said the alfa needs to improvise, that if he doesn't mind this is "end of the year party" season grin

Any violence that breaks out in Niger will not look good for Nigeria, especially the NW

Federal government has more pressing issues to face than two religious body fighting in a state out of the 36 states. The governor is the CSO of the state, let him deal with it. If he likes he should let it escalate to serious violence, then the FG will declare state of emergency in his state . Maybe then he will go and be governing his father's compound

Simple its a democracy. Governors are elected for a purpose not just to collect allocation

If you cant handle it then surrender your state including the allocation to the FG

Is there any country bearing ECOWAS?

It is still the same part of our already insufficient armed forces that will go as ECOWAS.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 2:24pm On Jul 26, 2023
Information filtering in from the Republic of Niger indicates some unpleasant developments around the country's highest political leadership.

It should be quite clear to all players in the Republic of Niger that the leadership of the ECOWAS Region and all lovers of democracy around the world will not tolerate any situation that incapacitates the democratically-elected government of the country.

The ECOWAS leadership will not accept any action that impedes the smooth functioning of legitimate authority in Niger or any part of West Africa.

I wish to say that we are closely monitoring the situation and developments in Niger and we will do everything within our powers to ensure democracy is firmly planted, nurtured, well rooted and thrives in our region.

I am in close consultation with other leaders in our region, and we shall protect our hard-earned democracy in line with the universally acceptable principle of constitutionalism.

As the Chairperson of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, I state without  equivocation that Nigeria stands firmly with the elected government in Niger and equally conveys the absolute resolve of leaders in our sub-region that we shall not waiver or flinch on our stand to defend and preserve constitutional order.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chairman, ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government

I will give slight edge to Crawford in terms of strength of opponents. Though you're right neither has faced the same caliber of fighter.

They have also been through lengthy layoffs so ring rust will be a factor. Spence looks as good as you can look coming off a car accident that serious

Bud for me is far more technical than Spence and makes fewer mistakes. Unless Spence plans to swarm him all night long but having seen the two I consider Bud a lot harder to hit

Look at the Ugas fight, Ugas is really good but I don't think Bud will have had as hard a time as Spence did remember Spence was knocked down or maybe looking for his mouthpiece depending on who you believe grin, I know I'm not trying to use boxing math but I honestly think Spence will do more of the knockout chasing than Crawford.

It's impossible to call sha. Bettors have Crawford as the slight favorite and just going off their styles and body of work thus far I can see why

I remember when we first started nursery school, Most of us spoke Yoruba first and in Yoruba it doesnt differentiate gender but age

So many of us found it hard to address out 60yr old headmistress with the same SHE pronoun you address your younger sister.

So you will hear "THEY(headmistress) are calling you oh" (Won pe e). The teachers laughed flogged and corrected us

Not knowing that several years later we were right all along
