I don't really believe that the Awolowo family is even wealthy. Influential? Absolutely. But wealthy? I doubt. Awolowo never amassed wealth. He was better known for his oratory and political sagacity than wealth. I would think of that family in the light of the Soyinka family. Influential, but not wealthy. At most, comfortable.
