My daughter Eden aged 4, won the award for the neatest girl in school. I was not very surprised; I was just pleased that the school noticed how clean she always looks.

And this is the handiwork of my wife, her mother who herself was a prefect in charge of neatness when she was in secondary school.

Years after, she is instilling that neatness identity into her children.

She ensures my kids' uniforms are washed and ironed every day. At times I wake up in the middle of the night to ease myself, and there she is, ironing the Children's uniforms.

Needless to say that the home is almost always very neat even with the presence of 2 active kids coupled with the help of a paid cleaner.

The point is, a lot of people from their mid twenties upwards were raised right but along the line they lost the precepts they were raised with.

They fell for a new world or society where anything goes; where nothing seems to be bad anymore.

You can choose to be one of those who are still 'traditional' when it comes to sticking with the right things in life.

All the same, Congratulations to my wife and to my daughter.

I love neatness but I love children who play and get dirty, like the tag line of OMO.....dirt is good!

@OP, well-done for recognising and appreciating ur wife's effort, but is only your daughter that deserve all the praises. There was a time I had 3 kids in same school same time but only one was always given that kind of award, because he is a gentle guy and doesn't play rough others wasn't like him.

I have a great friend who is very neat but, when u see her son in school, hmmmm let me just say wonderful wonder.
When your daughter gets to secondary sch, she will be the one taking care of herself so, if she is still taking it that's when u should have written this kind of epistle to praise Ur wife and for other women to learn from her.
