lmao I like to use nne for everybody 😄 but yeah I totally understand but let me tell you me personally I don’t care if you are paying me 1 million dollars a year there is no way I am commuting from Ikorodu to island and then back to Ikorodu daily. You can’t pay me enough to damage my body like that. I value myself over money

do less than one hour journey damage your body?

wow

do you even live in Lagos ? First of all you will sit in the bus till it gets full. They are not going anywhere till the bus gets full. Me ? I went when it wasn’t rush hour so it took 2 hours for the bus to full. So I was sitting in the bus for 2 hours. Then the journey and hold up. Then other connecting buses or keke after you get there ? Let me say I was on the road to go and come back for like 6 hours . So if I am combining that with work you think I can do that everyday ? Mbanu I can’t

So if you happen to be a leader and you're on a media chat, this would be your reply when such questions are asked? Knowing fully well that all high paying jobs are on the island. No wonder Africa is so backward.

You obviously have no grasp of what lagosians are going through. Maybe it's because you've never worked in Nigeria. In case you're not aware, most people you see working on the island are coming from Berger, warewa, ibafo, mowe, ojuore, toll gate, sango, ikorodu... etc Reason being that accommodation in these areas are relatively cheap so they can save enough money for other things. And since transportation to work was fair because government was subsidizing fuel, it was an easy way for them to save more money.

I have a cousin who lives in Houston TX and works at Temple TX. He drives over 4 hours to and fro every working day, he told me he prefers living at Huston to Temple.

I also knew medical doctors in Enugu back then who lived in Abakaliki and drive to work everyday day because accommodation and lands in Abakaliki arw far cheaper as compared to Enugu, so it would be very easy for them to establish themselves in Abakaliki than Enugu.

Didn't your Tinubu promise to make Nigeria better for all Nigerians.

If the country is good why should something be wrong with someone who chooses to live in a place where things are cheaper and work on the island? Why must something be wrong with such person... kindly tell me Obadiah777 😒

Lol you have time typing Epistle and engaging peeps with serious mental problemsgrin

It's Nna not Nne I'm male. 😒

Also I'm not living at ikorodu or any of those areas I mentioned... although I've met people who live there and work on the island that's why I mentioned them.

Besides remote jobs aren't as easy to come by like most people think. So our best bet is that our leaders should make life easier for us. I believe it's not too much to ask seeing how they promised us heaven and earth during the elections.
That is how those terrible humans reason, na so him oga at the top dey reason, they don't have a single regard for the poor. Look at HIS emasculating Policies

No mind am

6hrs to and fro. factor in the hours of waiting for bus to be full before departing. also the journey to cms and from ikorodu bus terminal to my ikorodu secretariat destination

There are people who live at that ikorodu and work on the island, earning less than 200k. Now imagine paying 2,200 every working day for one month. That would be about 48k.

If the person is married with kids, inflated prices of other commodities in the market would consume the remaining money leaving him to resort to begging just for survival.

Please in whatever experience you're trying to give here, never compare Nigeria with America. They earn higher and have a more stable economy.

Most people living in Ikorodu and working on the island earn less than 100k.

Someone once hit my car in in VI and nicked the body a bit. The cost of fixing at the dealership repair shop was north of 60k. The person who it the vehicle's monthly salary was 40k. The baba was just crying.

When I heard that his salary was 40k, I just entered my vehicle and drove off.

What's someone who's salary is 40k doing with a car?

He's a driver for one of the the companies of a popular Nigerian Billionaire.
It was a Landcruiser he used to hit my vehicle at Odeku in VI.

It was their head driver who confirmed the man's salary because I thought he was lying when he told me he earns 40k.

A billionaire paying his company driver 40k per month. That's wickedness.

Oh well you're right. Transportation costs haven't increased that much on the route I ply. It's just a 100naira increase or zero increase. I'm surprised at this honestly.
It doesn't stop the fact that the subsidy removal isn't biting hard on Nigerians because food is very expensive
