Using local currency or doing barter for resources is better.

I don't favor ditching one major currency for another, the problem won't change.

I disagree with this though. If a government becomes corrupt and anti people, who should come to the aid of the citizens. In a stable country where the system works, coup cannot happen. Coup only happen in 3rd world country where corruption is rampant.
