A001: Potter wasn't our coach by this time last season. We've been told we were worse off than by this time last season when your mcm was here. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by A001: 9:30pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
popizaino:Yea, that's why Potter is better than Tuchel. Keep living in dreamland |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by nateevs(m): 9:32pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
popizaino: Yes I said that. But it's not because he was a bad coach. That's what A001 is trying to say. He's a top manager. |

Gucciboy:he is a CM, central midfielder that can play AM and DM. Very different from Chukwuemeka that's a CM and an AM only. |

nateevs:Ur fuming when no be sign the player, no be scout the player. I literally posted on this thread how signing of Angelo came about and what was in the deal. Nothing like fuming self, u should be excited if he does well in ligue 1 and gets the goals and returns to Chelsea with much more experience |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 9:40pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
nateevs:"not suited" now or throughout the preseason? The boy has had on and off, same with Chukwuemeka, Enzo and Gallagher |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueMann: 9:41pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
Angelo has got tidy feet with too notch combo/one touch passing. We really should've waited before sending him out on loan, I would've loved for him to be given a shot. Jackson will be a menace. Bags of pace and skill, he's also good a harrying opposition players and nicking the ball back, be it in his own half or in the opposition final third. Hall's dribbling and crossing are an asset. Trophy won, hopefully sets a precedent for the rest of the season. We move. |

First half display was far more dominant. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 9:43pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
BlueMann:good to see Hall in midfield again, hasnt really played much this preseason be like loan is looming in the air for him |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Singapore1(m): 9:43pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
BlueMann:he should go on loan, he dribble when it is absolutely unnecessary. He decision making is terrible i watched his highlights last game and he was okay. but today is not it at all |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 9:43pm On Jul 30, 2023 |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 9:48pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
Singapore1:all of them just dey tap ball dey rotate passes. Angelo is one player that stuck to his game, I hope he develops more and gathers more in his arsenal and ur right, he seemed a bit off. I almost thought no way he stays and sterling leaves, right. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by nateevs(m): 9:49pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
BlueAngel444: And if he doesn't? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 9:54pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
nateevs:then it's his fault na. Strasbourg has a good goalscorer, signed another one recently and may add Wahi to their arsenal no way he doesn't get more assists and becomes better creatively. Or u do think he can't boss it in ligue 1 even in a squad like Strasbourg instead of staying and be like 5th or 6th winger in Chelsea |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 10:01pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
Ian Maatsen has played three different positions in pre-season but not at left-back... #CFC LW, RW and number 10. Matseen staying may mean no new attacking player, no Kudus or Olise who are currently both injured. Links to Veiga have grown cold n quiet as when they first came out. Meanwhile, Nkunku has played as a CF, AM and LW |

BlueAngel444: Then it's his fault? You guys that dehumanize young footballers He's freaking 18. At 18, you were probably just getting the license from your Popsie to go check your JAMB exam result by yourself. What were you doing for yourself, by yourself, at 18? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 10:07pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
nateevs:how isn't it his fault, his talent has brought him this far from Brazil, he is going to a club, Strasbourg, that always wanted him and is probably going to be starting every game in a top division. Abeg if he flops who's fault is it. I always felt Odoi would have benefited from a loan earlier in his career. You don't want Angelo getting used to be a sub player or playing once in two weeks. U21 is too small for him and would be a waste na. Teens shine in Ligue 1, he should to. I wish I or someone close to me had his opportunity, so no dehumanising anyone here |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 10:10pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
Nateevs look at Lewis hall do u want him to stay on Chelsea's bench when the kid is showing or has shown he may be better than most of our lbs and midfielders |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Gucciboy: 10:20pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
Newest signings so far: Lesley Ugochukwu and Axel Disasi with Wahi coming in soon... Chelsea may continue with Ugochukwu as defensive midfielder alongside Andrey Santos. If he becomes impressive, l maybe wrong though....... |

James (Gusto) Silva (Disasi) Colwill (Badiashile) Chilwell (cucurella) Enzo (Casedei) Santos (Ugochukwu) Gallagher (Chukwuemeka) Sterling (Madueke) Nkunku (Jackson) Mudryk (Matseen) 20 outfield players, 3GKs, Broja and Fofana 25. Don't need to spend 100m on another DM when we ain't playing UCL. Our next signing should be a GK Slonina should go on loan and use his feet more and learn to pass better 1 Like |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by nateevs(m): 10:37pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
BlueAngel444: The important point always is that a loan move is never an automatic solution to having more game time. I can give a ton of Chelsea young players where loan moves ruined their talents completely. From Gael Kakuta to Charly Musonda, Lucas Piazon, Jeremie Boga, Ulises Davilla, Tomas Kalas, Josh McEachran, Billy Gilmour to name a few. These were ones with genuine talents that could have had better careers, if they stayed rather than leaving. Most loan moves are bad for young players and don't work out. They are humans like you and I. Leaving your comfort zone to a completely new country, language, work principles, gaffer, etc can be genuinely disruptive to 17/18 year olds. So yes, I would rather Lewis Hall stays and get a few games, than hop over to Strasbourg in the hope of game time, doesn't get it, and then stagnates. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Singapore1: I disagree. Granted, today was not his best but if you watched his previous games, you would probably disagree too. |
