Good day everyone. I have this particular issue that is bothering my entire family. In the month of February, my immediate younger brother informed that he had been called up for National youth service and was posted to Lagos. He didn't show us any proof that he was posted to Lagos, he had just finished his HND from a polytechnic in Akwaibom state.

Thereafter, he told us that he was posted to a company in Island. He said he needed some money to assist in accommodation as the company was not going to give them any money till after the program ended. He refused staying with some of our family friends because of claiming distance to the workplace.

After a while, he contacted my father that the company is sending him offshore. This happened in the month of march. Since then we have not heard from him and have not been able to reach him. We are located in Port Harcourt. Any help in locating him will be much appreciated.

Your family did not ask him the name of the company?? That's negligence at the part of your family

Na wa for una. Since March till now you haven't been looking for him? Start by asking the family friends to go to NYSC state secretariat to find out if he is really serving.

If he truly is, then you guys can trace the so called company that sent him offshore.

You guys just believed all he told you. I'm suspecting he never graduated and I pray something bad has not happened to him. What of his friends, girlfriends and whatever? Obviously he planned all these things. I pray he comes back home hale and hearty

Seems he had issues with school and decided to japa with his small savings. He apparently asked for financial support in the pretex that he wanted money for accommodation.
I just hope he didn't pass through land via the desert.

I think the police or court have a role to play for the NYSC to comply. I'm not quite sure. Go to crime section and creat a thread there, you'll likely get better directions in how to go about it.
