In as much as she identifies with Nigeria, she still retains her British heritage of the art of the polite insult. She recognizes that her teammates work hard but earn next to nothing as a result of where they stay. No exposure, no opportunities, no benefits, that is what this short time with Nigeria has taught her! We dey suffer for dis country but since many were born into the suffering, they don’t realize it! undecided

Ashleigh Plumptre comes from a mixed heritage. Her father is of Nigerian descent, specifically from Lagos State, and belongs to the Yoruba tribe. Her mother is English.

‘’My grandfather from dad’s side is a Nigerian from Lagos state. He is of Yoruba descent. My younger sister Bayleigh, is called by Yoruba name, Bisi. She is a drummer.

Omoluabi, you're doing well.
From your character alone, we know that you are Yoruba.

I remember those days of growing up with family friends who are Plumptres , it's embarrassing seeing even otherwise educated folks struggle with the pronunciation of Lagos families surnames like Plumptre, Vaughan etc and then ask if they are Nigerians.smh
Awon ti Ebute meta and Olowogbowo will understand wink
u are ridiculous.

Those are not Nigerian names. Those are names adopted from the white man. Those names are names created out of a combination of slavery mentality, inferiority complex (the need to feel accepted by the white slave masters) and finally the need to feel superior over their own brothers by answering a white man's name.

This is nothing to be proud of, in my opinion.

She’s one quarter black. If it was the other way around, she very well knows white people will never acknowledge her Caucasian side. I’ll take her serious only if she marries a black man. I know she won’t, her only choice of “black” men will be biracial.

Are you insulting the igbos to be of Osu`? She is good to go cause she half white, right?
Your people are such a betrayal and tribalism has killed this once good tribe.
You cant win against the igbos, no matter how you try. Apart from Lagos which are made by the igbos, name another Yoruba city doing well?

you just want to sound "Mr knower" and ended up writing nonsense.
I had to go through the guy's post again and didn't see anywhere he said he's proud of the names. He was only sharing his experience with the names during his school days.
Una oversabi too much for this forum abeg.

Are you really sure?

Lagos been an Island, no body hails from the Island in originality.

The People of Ogun, Oshun and other neighbouring Yoruba Communities who came there to catch Fish, if they were unable to go back the same day, they haboured around the corner.

A typical of all the Ijaws.

On your normal sense, how would you think any one would originally hail from an Island?
As in; Front, back, left and right water, no access to the land except through Boat, when we know that Boat as a transportation means is an invention of Technology which is a "new world" inovation.
