Your promotion letters were ready since last month but what kept yours from being issued to you was because they erroneously gave our immediate senior grade level 12 instead of grade level 14. Due to that error their board chairman asked them to go back and redo it. They're almost done with it.
Meanwhile a friend of mine who has long legs has seen his own letters still in soft copy.
UBE just exercise small patience you shall get yours soonest. That's The latest.

The SSSB problem is that no substantive chairman. However, it's the government via commissioner for education will constitute the board committee for us. I wonder why an acting chairman can't do so because whoever that acts on such capacity is deemed to sign all signables as substantive head should have signed. Therefore, the government is holding both the yam and knife, she decides when to cut the yam and give to us.

It is completely not true that an acting chairman have no power to sign promotion letters, the person who act
as the chairman of the board is mostly the most senior staff or the Head of Administration of the board and have every right to act and sign any document in the absence of a chairman. Let me ask, for the past several years that the SSSB has been without a substantive chairman, who has been the one signing the retirement letters and retirement promotion to those who retire in SSSB for their pension and other benefits? Who has been the one signing the appointment letters to the new principals and vice principals?

Please don't say that. I was in the board yesterday and I asked the chairman in his office one on one about our plight. He told me that he has done everything possible for our promotion salary to come that the governor pit it on hold for now including the recruitment for sssb. He told me that the governor said ours will come later.The later is when he doesn't know. So if you have the governor s line call him and ask him why. The chairman is also expecting his own promotion salary. All of them there in the board are in the same plight with us. If you doubt me go and ask the chairman by yourself. Maybe because we are many unlike other parastatals and ministry. May God help us while we wait patiently.......though it tarried it will surely come.
