Burkina Faso and Mali reaffirmed their solidarity with the people of Niger and refuse to apply the ECOWAS sanctions.
The two partner countries have also threatened to leave ECOWAS if the sub-regional organization intervenes militarily in Niger, a situation
which would amount to a declaration of war against Burkina Faso and Mali

Most people are forgetting that Niger people are Fulani and Hausa.
There billions worths of weapons in Libya and its east to travel from Libya to Niger as both nations shared one of the largest desert in the world.

Not just Algeria but the Russians whom the people of Niger have embraced would pump in weapons to support Niger. Other Ecomog countries like Benin,To go, Ghana, Ivory coast, Senegal and Gambia do not have the financial capacity and military efficiency to wage a large scale war against a Russian backed contender, they would leave the fight for Nigeria just like they left nigeria to deal with the Liberia and sierra leonan civil war. Nigeria should not interfere in this, we have our own problems let them deal with theirs.

Niger military will fight has a conventional force not a guerrilla muchkins and they will lose against Nigeria woefully. No country in Africa comes close to Nigeria in military projection and fire power outside Egypt, Algeria and South Africa.

If Nigeria declares a no fly zone in Niger today, no single aircraft will fly that airspace.
