Umar Sadiq has failed to repay Sociedad's faith and they have gone for Andre Silva after ignoring Sorloth.

The initial plan was to sign a younger striker.

Umar Sadiq's form in pre-season and fitness is a huge worry.

He has been left behind in Spain and can't travel to North America for Sociedad's final pre-season tour as he injured his femoral biceps.
not making sorloth a permanent deal was weird to me. I was surprised when I saw that he was sold to Villarreal. Proper competition

Hmmmmm🤔

LOSC and RC Lens argue over Gift Orban.

• Lille would have taken the lead on the case: the Mastiffs are close to reaching a contractual agreement with the Nigerian.

• He is one of RC Lens' tracks to replace Loïs Openda.

Italian pundit Carlo Alvino believes that Super Eagles forward is not interested in moving to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia Premier League club Al Hilal have offered two separate record bids for the Nigerian but have been turned down by Napoli.

Al Hilal have set their sights on the prolific striker having failed to secure their number one target, Kylian Mbappe who has refused the advances of the club

Napoli want at least 150 million euros for the striker and are ready to sell for a lesser fee.

The Partenopei are also in discussion with the Nigerian forward over a contract extension but are yet to reach a compromise with the striker on the release clause to be inserted into the new contract

Alvino believes the lanky forward is not interested in a move to the Middle East and should sign a contract extension with the club

"With Osimhen, Napoli is making other assessments and not only on engagement, also on sponsorships, commercial agreements and more," he told Radio Kiss Kiss, via Napoli Magazine.

"In the extension speech and economic adjustment, a series of commercial agreements has been envisaged, in which Napoli would not be 100% masters of certain deals.

"This can unblock the deal, but the crux of the release clause remains. Napoli does not want to go below 160 million for the clause remains a very high figure for the agent and we will continue to file to try to find an agreement.

"In the end we will find the right balance. The player is absolutely not interested in Arab sirens."

The 2022/2023 Paulo Rossi Award winner seems to be in good form ahead of the new Serie A campaign as he bagged a brace in Napoli's 5-0 preseason win over Hatayspor.

We are beginning to hack the football/soccer game the same way we hacked afrobeats. Sporting Lagos and Remo Stars are opening the eyes of many private individuals of the wealth that can be accumulated from football enterprise through partnership with foreign clubs. Sporting Lagos just signed a South Sudanese guy Joseph Loro (one year in NPFL and another 2 yrs in a partner club in Denmark.

atleast he is young and may turn out to become better in the future

Also if we can hype a certain player here for over 7 seasons without any tangible improvement then Lesley is doing massively fine 🤣

Fact is that money can not buy greatness. Okocha followed once in a lifetime opportunity and ended up a break dancer for BetKing.

Amokachi pursued a once in a lifetime opportunity and ended up pursuing APC up and down.

Osimhen has a chance to write his name in gold and become a footie legend.

Money will buy luxuries but great footballing atmosphere will buy greatness.

Osimhen should shun greed and follow greatness.

Finito.

Only f..ls will not rate Oshimen. It quiet funny that you rate a lot of people here. Most here do not watch anything outside premier league at viewing centres. They don't even watch Oshimen play at Napoli. lol. They only use Super Eagles match to judge him. Same way they did with Chukwueze when Milan wanted to buy him. They were busy crying all over Milan Tl about how bad Chuks plays for Nigeria. lol! Delusional entity using National team football with 3 days training to judge pro players. Ignore those none entities jare!!
ManUnited paying almost 80m for a guy that scored only 9 goals shows great mind admire that league.
There is no season Oshimen has not hit double figures from Belgium till now. Oshimen is far better than last year. Seria A needs to be really worried!!

Of course what we need more is quality and sound coaches, not only in the Super Eagles but also in all the national teams expecially our under 17 and 20 teams.

With good coaches in our junior teams,we Will always be able to do well in tournaments and discover more quality players 4 our national teams,
and we won't have to worry about which FB that commit to us or not.

With very good quality in SE,we can only afford to go for the very best of the FB which can measure up to d standard we have set,
which will always be very difficult, because d very best of d foreign borns will always see us as the second choice.

Since the SE is almost saturated with more FB,what have we won?
Why should one worry himself about who commit to us or not?

What is the standard YOU have set ❓

If you have been mostly injured for the past two seasons then you become a liability. Particularly in a small club like Luton.

You no know before? Osimhen's performance pained a lot of people last season but disguising won't let them admit.

Victor has been steadily improving every season but to doubt his abilities is still their default setting.

Disappointing but would be lying if I said I was surprised.

Agreed.

The deal he agreed with PSG actually makes him one of Africa's highest earners, but it's still not up to half of what Saudis offer.

Still only greed will make him move to Saudi during the best stanza of his career.

Only problem is PSG cannot sign him without balancing their books, so they've given him a date.

Not actually an Osimhen factor, it's the team.
Napoli really fell off towards the end of last season.

Throughout last season in all competitions they failed to win only 15 games out of 49 games.
But 7 of those winless games came in the final 10 matches.

It reminds me of lockdown champions, Liverpool. They lost/drew 7 of last 13 games, having done that just 6 times in the previous 41 games.

The next season they had only 3 players on 10+ G/A for the first time under klopp. Too many players lost form and only few could carry the club.
In his eight years in England, that's still the only season where less than 5 players have been involved in 10+GA.

What makes this worse for Napoli is that they've lost their most valuable asset: Spalleti.

Just like Salah, Osimhen can still replicate his previous season. But Salah had an unsackable Klopp and stable ownership.
Osimhen has a new manager and an erratic Laurentiis.
