I'm not even surprised at the pessimism of some people. Most never even gave the girls any chance. Most opined that we were going to lose 3 games and come home, we however qualified from the group unbeaten conceding only 2 goals with 2 clean sheets.

Monday is almost here, and really hoping you're surprised again.
I just dey ignore most people comments throughout today. England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 is definitely beatable. Once we bury our chances, we could get more than two goals seff. 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup, England won by 3–2. I hardly see England scoring this number of goals against us this time around.
Infact, I hardly see us losing this game.

Not sure Gift will start, but really hope Kanu doesn't. We need someone who can play with Alozie on the right and Gift did better, even though I felt she also had her own issue. There was one run Alozie made and she beat her man, and Kanu just stayed back looking. Not sure if anyone saw that but I was so furious. If Randy can drill gift to play improve significantly defensively and also to not hold in to the ball to much, I won't mind him starting her.

Honestly, aside the goal she scored against Australia, Kanu has been largely below par this tournament.. Gift own is that she sometimes end to overdo things with the ball...

This girl is playing like this because she never jam ucheibe and ayinde.

They kind making them go give her, her body go tell.

Haiti that played bit physical, they found it had to beat them convincingly.

Unless FIFA will do their "fifaing" that day, I don't see how England will beat SF. This is a walkover game for us.

I watched that game and was so surprised.

They won that game for 2 reasons:

1. The naive Haiti defender who. literally put both hands up to concede a penalty.

2. Haiti's uselessness I'm front of goal cause they had quite a number of clear cut chances.

Key word is us taking our chances cause we'll have plenty. Can't wait for Monday to come.

She's been off form even before now so I'm not totally surprised. She however has been the most effective in the box. If Randy has to use her, then I'll rather she plays as a 9; she's as fast as Oshoala and can score. She also will have little or no defensive responsibility. That's the only way I see her featuring moving forward.

Cool
Do you think she will thrive in this formation?

Not sure I'll have us play a 3-5-2 formation . I'll rather we stick to the 4-3-3.

Also, really hoped to have seen Imuran at the game against Ireland. It will be dicey introducing her in the knockout stages. Almost improbable except there's a case of injury. She also has been playing as a forward in her club so her defensive instincts may not be as sharp as they used to.

Kanu as CF will be an option but slightly prefer Onumonu. Ajibade and Monday/Okoronkwo on the wings.

I’ll go with Ajibade, Kanu and Okoronkwo

This is perfect but Asisat is a must starting the game, if not england will come at us without fear. Kanu should sit then come in later.

I find this kinda embarrassing though. She should have been more diplomatic for the sake of those NFF ogas grin. Anyway, I like how NFF is being indirectly exposed here.

Lol...I dare England to come at us with Kanu leading the attack. All it will take is the right pass and clinicality.

FIFA will still pay the players through NFF sha. They'll only monitor payments.

Funny stuff, when she indicted the NFF right in front of the world, NFF officials were standing just by her. Guess what they did? They clapped. lol

Would love to see Imuran get some minutes. But we need attackers who can also defend so wouldn't start her.

Personally I would start Monday, so:

---------------------------------Nnadozie
——Alozie——-Demehin—-Ohale——-Plumptre——
—------------------—Ucheibe—-Ayinde—
———Monday———-Payne—-----Ajibade——————
---------------------------------Kanu

Then any of below as subs: Oshoala, Onumonu, Okoronkwo, Echegini, Oparanozie
Oshoala needs to be told to press,
Onumonu needs to stop falling down
