Heaven won't fall if Nigeria invade Niger and remove the illiterate coup plotters.
If the overfed buffoon who called himself the leader of the government wants to
become president, he should resign from the army and join a political party.
lol, okay

I just pray that Tinubu should do it. Then you will understand why we cannot defeat Boko Haram since a these while and U. S could not beat Afghanistan.

On paper, what would have been a walkover for united states but they go more that what they gave.

We should go and waste it on Niger?
What will Niger give us in return?
What is our business with Niger?
Let's mind our business, nobody is helping us here in Nigeria, we can't afford to invade any country.
They should give Nigerians that money they want to use to invade Niger, we need the money, things are too expensive.
We don't want war in Africa, the war in Ukraine has affected the price of bread in Nigeria, war in Niger Republic will cause famine in Nigeria.
Re: 13 Reasons Nigeria Must Not Support Invasion Of Niger Republic - Shehu Sani by gaskiyamagana: 11:06pm On Aug 01, 2023
The Reason number 4 is enough for us not to engage in war with Niger, since war was not used against military juntas in the country mentioned when they struck.
However, if all our neighbours are under military rulers, will it not be encouragement for our military to truncate our democracy, and get support from those neighbouring military rulers?

United States also thought so against Vietnam and Afghanistan but they lost both wars.

Niger will start losing the direct confrontation and immediately the guerilla attack will start and because you are in their home soil, they understand the terrain better than our soldiers and the coup is supported by the citizens, we will suffer serious loses from the guerilla warfare. You will be fighting guerilla attacks for Years and wasting scarce resources. The head of our military will never want the war to end because they are making money from it.

Don't be a foolish person, by the time we fight Niger for 10 Years, wasting so much money, you will understand why our soldiers couldn't defeat ordinary boko Haram.

They are there for their selfish interest. That's the only thing they are interested in. That's why they toppled Gaddafi. Any leaders that doesn't do their biddings are toppled either military or civilian.

Ode! Go and invade now. May be you need to read no. 4 again. So, because your colonizers wants you to jump into fire without using your head .. you won’t think. Same western powers that supported Egyptian military when it toppled a democratically elected government of then president Morse are now suddenly talking against Niger coupists. It’s really a cruel world indeed

Una dey see wetin I dey see abi na my eyes dey pain me?

Everyone from Northern Nigeria,(especially the core north) is begging FG not to send troops to Nigér republic following the coup. These same people that constantly threaten the people of South East with WAR at any mention of PEACEFUL REFERENDUM or even PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION are now begging FG to embrace peace, dialogue and to adopt diplomatic measures for Nigér Republique.

Does it mean that Northerners are happy to wage war against their "fellow Nigerians" but preach peaceful resolution when external conflicts are involved? Does it mean that they understand how costly it becomes when combatant boots are placed on anyone's backyard? Don't we still have "our pride" the gallant Nigerian Army? Wonders shall never end.

Maybe, this is renewed hope we have been waiting for. I hope Northern Nigeria will continue to adopt this same strategy both home and abroad from now henceforth. Ositadinma,...

The Nigerian president needs better advisors. Those clamoring that the giant of Africa should take the lead will all back out during the heat.

Nigeria can fight Niger but cannot fight Niger, Burkina Faso, China, Russia etc.

Shehu Sani is on point as always,'a man who's house is on fire, dont go around chasing rats',-African proverb. The west want to start another proxy war in Niger and the world has never been this polarised since the second world war. Russia and China are waiting in the wings to join the fun in Niger,we as a nation must be very careful not to be a pawn in the hands of the west.
Guinea has already shown solidarity with the Niger coupists and be less assured that both Mali,Burkina faso et al will all bark Niger for obvious reasons. Let Nigeria keep calm, while using the instruments of Ecowas to dialogue.
We already have bandits and boko haram at the borders with Niger and with the biting economic crisis, having boots on ground in Niger will be disastrous.
Its better Nigeria stays back and be assumed an African giant than to go to war with Niger and all doubts will be cleared, while we come back with a badly battered ego and an unstable sub-region.

anything to keep tinubu in aso rock - bola will do it —- nigeria is very divided right now and a country divided can not win a war against any other nation - can not even win a civil war if all regions are disunited

the reason tinubu is crying more than the bereaved is that he does not want a coup in Nigeria because of the way he stole the elections - if his hands are clean he won’t be everywhere trying to fit into everything

it’s just like an ugly man who use jazz or money to catch a very pretty girl - he will be over compensating for that feat and before he sell off all his property and use all his life savings to please the pretty girl he won’t realize it

because he knows he doesn’t deserve to be with such a pretty lady - Tinubu knows he didn’t win the election hence he has left his common sense on the floor and trying to be over zealous

when war start, you will know that Boko Haram that we couldn’t defeat will be a child’s play compared to Nigerien Army and I see our soldiers deserting because they do nothing believe in this reckless mission

just imagine naija where people can’t buy fuel trecking recklessly with so much hunger in the land you want to go and attack Niger ?

what’s our strategic reason for that ? is the government in Niger threatening to wipe out Nigeria ? what is the reason for this move?

let me stop here - he at that the gods want to destroy they first make mad, Tinubu has gone mad

He wants to kill more Nigerians added to the ones wey Fulani herdsmen kill remain under this evil APC system

hmmmm

Nigeria should be using these moments to workout how best to protect Nigeria and Nigerians from the potential inferno heading towards West Africa not contemplating how to jump in like hapless US firemen sent racing towards the Twin Towers when the aircrafts first struck and the buildings were still standing.

1) Start by deporting Burkina folks in Nigeria from Nigeria if possible. Those people loath Nigerians even more than Ghanaians hate us. From this day on mark Bukinas Faso as Enemy of Nigeria.

2) Nigeria need to face the problems of our open borders. I would like to claim I'm the only one concerned about the borders but many others have worded complaints too; everyone except smugglers disguised as business people interested in rice importation from cotonue.

3) The military require new high-tech toys - surveillance equipment's, long range missiles and delivery systems, long range fighter bombers, more satellite in orbit, a miniature aircraft carriers, hundreds of drones from china. Add your own shopping list...

4) Embrace the reality of the hate African nations seem to show towards Nigeria by thire words and actions, Nigeria is huge and varied enough to be self sufficient in anything Africa can offer.

5) Invest in whatever exists in capability of monitoring Social Media.

6) Do whatever is necessary in bolstering the internal and international capabilities of our secret / security services.

7) Invest in the manpower and investigative abilities of police force.

8 ) Consolidate the ownership of our mineral resources and professionalise the eco-system around its extraction, handling, refining, exporting and so on.

Former Lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has listed thirteen reasons, Nigerians should not support the invasion of Niger Republic, IGBERETV reports.

Recall that the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS led by Nigeria's President Tinubu, on Sunday, issued a seven-day ultimatum to the military in Niger Republic to restore President Muhammed Bazoum to office, after the Commander of the country’s Presidential Guards, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, had on Friday, declared himself the Head of a Transitional Government.

Sani wrote on his Twitter handle;

What do you think will eventually happen in the whole of West Africa if these coupists are not checked since there is an already treaty in place to deal with this kind of thing?
If left unchecked, it will serve as motivations for the other military in the remaining democratic countries to stage their coups. But many of you lack the capacity to think beyond your nose.

Nigerian government participation means she is playing her own role. It sends messages to other coupists. What if it is the Nigeria that finds itself in the same spot?

Well, in 1964, we rushed troops into Tanzania to stop a coup against Julius Nyere back then. It worked, and we got thanked by Cde Julius.(who then brought in the Chinese to remake the Tanzanian army ,but that's another story).

Didn't stop the 66 coups though.

Abeg, tons of problems we have to solve internally and we haven't even solved any.
I understand we can advocate against military rule but theirs is even far better that what it used to be in Nigeria because Niger are joyous the military took over unlike we.
Lastly, abeg make we chop and live life first even if some d**b a** are going to get us into trouble because current Nigeria suffering no be from this world. You can't be policing all nations leave US and the west to that.

Oh, we were very joyous when the army took over in 1966...by 1974, we were in sifa pains when Gowon told us we weren't ready for civilian rule by 1976.

And we rejoiced when the Army took over again in 1983, we even said Happy new year, and happy new government. Exactly ten years later, the old transiston program was dead, and we were starting the third round of hardcore army rule.

And we went from being a major producer of cocoa, cotton, palm oil and so forth in 1964, to 97% reliance on oil in 1994. All under army rule.

Niger too was broke when the army took over in 1966, and still broke now.

Get off this site, join a party and work for change.

First thing you should know is that if Niger goes to war with Nigeria, Cameroon will be their ally. Cameroon will launch an eastern offensive while Niger launches a northern offensive backed by Russians, Mali, Burkina Faso,Guinea and Chad. The NATO you're expecting to help you will not help you one bit. You people are puppets to the West. Your Tinubu is a puppet leader

Tinubu's coup using INEC cost Nigeria N300B and citizens blood but Niger coup was koboless and bloodless. Let Niger seek redress internally as Nigeria is doing using court process.

Consider it a waste of spiritual vocal.

Pray for your own success before praying against a successful president.
