Toks cars can have their own issues but by and large, your chances of getting a good car is higher with Toks than Naija used. Infact if you are buying a luxurious car or a vehicle with scarce parts, your best bet is Toks.

Until recently, there was a time most people didn't even entertain the idea of getting a Naija used car.

Getting quality parts for regular cars can be a challenge in this PH talk more of these ones. Buying parts from Lagos comes with it's own challenges. Sometimes I think they deliberately send you faulty parts and hope you won't return them. We wey no dey Lagos dey see shege.

And even when the part is good, it may turn out not to be the issue.

Another problem is lack of good mechanics. I will be at the mercy of the few ones who are good. Imagine having issues with your car and your trusted BMW mechanic says he's on vacation

One of my cars many years ago used to have this very bad noise during oscillations, I tried all I could with different mechanics both in Lagos and Delta State all to no avail. I spent so much yet problem no solve.

One day as I drive enter PH make I take one bottle close to a mechanic workshop around Alakaya I just said I should relate my ordeal to the Ibo guy, "oga na the noise be that"? After checking it he asked, I replied yet yes na him.
"Oga go sit don for that place I go call you when I finish am"

Honestly this guy didn't take time, I barely finished my drink this was done.

That was the end of that issue till I sold it

I feel your pain, people living in Port Harcourt are truly tied to just the popular brands. Yet no one is looking at the great opportunity to venture into that line of soar part business.

Many e-hailing drivers obviously earn more than their passengers who earn salaries but have you considered the impact of a single policy on the e-hailing job? Uber partners should not be too comfortable. A single policy change from Sanwo-Olu and your job is gone. They have done it before with Oride, Gokada, etc., They can absolutely do it again.
