This might not be related to Upwork but it seems there are people here with the know-how of receiving funds internationally.

I have a Visa prepaid card and I would like to transfer some of its balance into my bank account but I don't know how to go about it. I need the money in naira for a local purchase please I need your help.

Although I don't use geegpay/wise/grey yet, I was thinking if they can be funded with the card then converted and transferred into my local account?

That's the truth; you will see someone who is not even major in your discipline getting the job before you because of that US flag...I will advise anyone making good money from Nigeria here....please, do one thing...save up massively, and japa....while you still can...the day the job dries up on these online platforms like Upwork or Fiverr, or they close your account...hmmm.... but when you get over there, you have double security, even working on Upwork will be a side hustle.

I had a relatively steady job flow on Upwork when I started last year, but I ran into a client who messed up my JSS.

It crashed to 56 (from 95) after she ended the contract. When I reached out to her, she contacted Upwork, and made some effort to correct it, but it only got up to 65.

Right now, it's at 71 and I have not gotten any response from the proposals I've sent out in the last few months.

I need help with this. Please, what can I do to rectify this situation?

Don't dare using wire transfer, u will regret using it, betterstill use Payoneer to pull out your funds, using ur Dom Account.

Write better proposals and boost them when you can afford to.

Don't ever contact clients to discuss their feedback after the contract ends. Upwork considers it "Feedback Building," which is a violation of its terms of service. If the client reports you, instant ban.

I was being serious, I know I tried random data before for a account I manage, because I don't know of any API that Upwork uses to validate the TIN number. Hold on let me confirm for you with mine.

No I haven't. Did you also use a random data for your account? plus who knows Upwork might come with a policy to verify the TIN. I have no idea. I just wanted to be sure there is no implication if I decide to just use my NIN like the other poster suggested

People keep complaining and whining on NL, others are cashing out on Fiverr and Upwork. Some are complaining about AI, others are using same AI to bag projects left and right.
