No body uses laravel except for freelancers and medium sized companies

For startups yes, but what if it outgrows ruby on rails.

You have to start database modeling and design from scratch on something more robust and expandable like laravel.

Saying nobody uses laravel except for freelancers and medium companies, that is a big lie.

Laravel spans from micro websites to limitlessly large websites.

For small websites, that is why there is even Laravel Lumen. A stripped down version of Laravel to make that happen.
