Re: Memoirs From Chile by tensazangetsu20(m): 4:37am On Aug 04, 2023 |
Kingbenn: Medicine in Chile is very expensive and very competitive. You need like all distinctions. The minimum is like 12000 to 15000 usd a year. Chilean doctors don't migrate. Doctors are very well paid in Chile. Resident doctors get above 100k usd annually when converted and that's a lot of money in Chile. Healthcare is of two types public and private. The public healthcare is free but shitty and inefficient. The private is expensive. Education is free until university but there are loans they take to go to university. Also they have a lot of scholarships for their citizens. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Gerrard59: They won't come and say this one here na . Them know me. That's how the idiots are saying Botswana is better than Brazil. I pity who takes advice from nairaland with regards to south america. Aside Venezuela and Bolivia, there are no African countries that can measure up to any of the countries in south America. Visa rejection rates for chileans before even VWP was less than 3 percent. Argentina is less than 3 percent. Uruguay is less than 3 percent. Nigeria is greater than 70 percent. Other countries have pretty much shadow banned Nigerian passport holders 34 Likes 6 Shares |

tensazangetsu20: They would do it - it is literally what they do for a living - type mendacious words with their filthy fingers. Mind you, these people are naturalised citizens of Western countries, which are harder to migrate to these days BUT are always displaying online witchcraft, dissuading young Africans from migrating with dishonest tales and statements. I am waiting for them to show me how Chileans are scaling the fence into the US. P.S. Add Paraguay to the bold. The chances of a landlocked country being poor are very high. I know someone will mention Switzerland but forgets that the majority of Swiss have German heritage, and we know what that means economically and scientifically. 16 Likes 1 Share |

Regex: Yes! I will doubt him. He keeps saying that Brazil is a very good country. But I will tell you that it's a very big lie!!!! I lived in Brazil for 2 years, the crime rate is very terrible! Does he even know that?? I had to live Brazil for Sweden where I have the quality of life and peace that I now enjoy. If you're migrating to South American country please do your research very very well so you won't regret it. Also I was tired of their Spanish language. If you can't speak Spanish, na you sabi. 16 Likes 1 Share |

Opurumiri: So are you tired of speaking Swedish? Nothing wrong with your choices, but as we can see, it was pretty easy for you to migrate to Sweden from Brazil. But it is increasingly harder to migrate to Sweden from Nigeria. It is what we are preaching - some countries are better stepping stones than others. 48 Likes 2 Shares |

Re: Memoirs From Chile by Gerrard59(m): 7:57am On Aug 04, 2023 |
Karleb: I want to see his response regarding learning Swedish, as it is easier learning Spanish as a native English speaker compared to Nordic languages. If he left Brazil for Sweden because of the crime rate, that would be a fair decision. But being in Brazil is better than the UAE, especially if the person learns Portuguese before moving. Free education at world standards and ease of settling down compared to Germany - more than a year before visa interview. Bulgaria is denying Nigerians visas. It is not easy to get Czech Republic student visa from Nigeria. Poland nko? People pay bribes just to be interviewed! Germany was not popular then until the UK scrapped PSW in 2012. Suddenly, people became interested in Germany, Norway and Estonia. Today, only Germany still has free education, but to get visa from Nigeria na war. Portuguese and Spanish are easier to grasp than German. Estonia has changed her immigration laws. Even after spending money to be interviewed at the embassy in Egypt, since the UAE no go issue tourist visas, people still get denied. Norway, which I applied to then, has scrapped free tuition and tightened immigration laws. It takes NINE years to get Danish citizenship. Switzerland is a no-go area due to their ab initio immigration laws. People don learn German at Gothe Institute sotey yet cannot get student visa interview dates. These are actual complaints, and yet when we suggest good alternatives, online witches and wizards attempt to dissuade people. Ultimately, we are laser-focused on the economic opportunities and ease of being a naturalised citizen. No one should spend his/her youth toiling outside Nigeria, excluding places like Singapore and Switzerland, earning pittances yet have no hope of being a naturalised citizen. If you noticed, he moved to Sweden, not South Africa or Swaziland or Senegal. These are the demons we fight every day in this section. 70 Likes 14 Shares |

I am going to outline the process to get a study visa from Chile right here. I will do it today when I come back from registro civil. Need to get my rut number. I am pretty useless without it 24 Likes 6 Shares |

Opurumiri: Yeah right. You lived in Brazil for 2 years and didn't know that they spoke Portuguese in Brazil . Even if you did, what I think you did was to go give birth in Brazil then wait two years to be a citizen. It's easy to work in Sweden with a Brazilian passport as there's a working holiday visa agreement between both countries. Now go to sweden from Nigeria 40 Likes 6 Shares |

Nigerians like overhyping. Look at how a Nigerian man is giving first-hand information about a country he hasn’t spent a month living in. Anyway, that’s the type of news our youth like to hear. I am not saying Chile is good or bad, but I know that living in a country for one week or one month is damn short for you to obtain the necessary information needed to survive there. 30 Likes 6 Shares |

tensazangetsu20: Brazil is one of the most generous countries when it comes to foreigners giving birth on its soil. Any baby born in Brazil automatically becomes a citizen. Since the naturalization process in Brazil is fast, a mother who gives birth in Brazil, along with other members of the family, becomes a permanent resident of Brazil in about 2 years. But that being said, I don't think Brazil has working holiday agreements with Sweden. To obtain a Sweden working holiday visa, you must be between the ages of 18 and 30, your country must have an agreement with them, and you must be a citizen of one of these countries: Australia, Chile, Hong Kong, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, or Uruguay. Brazil has working holiday visa agreements with Australia (up to 500 youths per year), France, Germany, and New Zealand 6 Likes 1 Share |

Ashirioluwa: Street ke. There's no nigerian community in Chile. I made Chilean friends on the internet before coming here. Chile isn't a straightforward country to come to from Nigeria and the visa isn't easy to get. The only blacks I have met so far in Chile are from Haiti. There's a lot of Haitian refugees in Chile. There's a Nigerian guy in santiago though and another from nairaland who just concluded his PhD and moving to the US. 28 Likes 4 Shares |
