Debbieeeeeee: Thanks for the info. Pls is there a charge for this. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Debbieeeeeee: 4:46am On Aug 03, 2023 |
Queenlala:According to what has been documented here, yes there’s a charge for it but not a lot. I didn’t even go to port health when I departed lagos, so I don’t know a lot about it except for what has been documented on this thread. |

Hello I recently received a notification via email to book my appointment but I'm hesitant to book because my plans have changed. I will still want to travel to the USA but I need to go to the Netherlands first before for an extended period. Is it possible to change my interview location from Abuja to the Netherlands without making another visa payment? Any ideas, please? |

Hi all, I have been on this page since April this year because I wanted to give birth in the US, my Edd is next month. Been looking for an appointment date since April and finally got last week for yesterday in Lagos. Went to the embassy for my interview even though I am 36weeks gone, I had to wear a big gown to cover my bump to an extent. I applied for myself and my aunt to accompany me since my mum who has a valid US visa is currently busy and won’t be able to travel with me. The VO asked me who was my aunt to me and I explained then she only asked why I was going to the US, I told her to obtain medical care to birth my child and she asked why? Told her because they have better healthcare services. The next thing she said was that there’s a 2020 law that says pregnant women shouldn’t be allowed to come their child in the US and I said there’s no such law, she then went further to say she can’t give me visa except I have a medical condition. That was why I was denied visa. I am so devasted because I have travelled to Uk severally and I had a U.S. visa gotten from Uk that I didn’t use and expired in 2020 due to Covid. I had my documents complete but she didn’t even ask for any and the interview was less than 2minutes. I don’t even know how to feel. |

Talia72: Sorry about it. I’m wondering why you didn’t apply via Dropbox since you qualify and wouldn’t need to appear. All the best |

Good afternoon, My wife is an F1 student in the US she curently pregnant. The state shes in says that they have a charity organisation that help pregnant F1 students pay their martneity bill. she aksed them if it's medicaid they said no that the charity is just for a year. My question is ? 1, I hope this will not affect me when i apply for an F2 visa. 2, Will it be in her records that she gave birth in the US using a charity organisation, though she asked them this particular question and they said they don't send any information to immgration 3, Can i apply for an F1 visa instead of an f2 so i wont have any trace that i''m related to her incase its a probelm that she deliverd with the help of a charity Organisation. 4, She stated she was married in her DS160 form with my name as her husband. 5, Will they find out if i apply for an F1 and state in my DS160 that i dont know anyone in the US. Please i need help cause i need to be around when she gives birth so i can take care of the baby while she continues her studies. |

Good day everyone , Please I paid an agent to help me with my medical visa and we’ve been able to secure an interview date which is this week . I sent an email to DR Z and she asked me to pay $300 to get appointment letter of visa purpose ,however my agent said I shouldn’t pay until I get the visa since it’s non refundable Please mummy in the house ,is letter of appointment not important when going for interview. ? My agent asked me to print out the email correspondence only. Please note when I paid for her service fee ,it was included that appointment letter is inclusive I will appreciate the help of experts in the house 🙏 Is the email correspondence enough ? |

Please anyone here with recent POE experience or heard from someone that got in. Did you send email to embassy to notify change of intent and did you declare at POE your birth purpose? How does these affect admissibility? Kindly share experiences. 2 Likes |

Sonia77B: I got into Houston on the 4th of august and I declared I was here to have my baby even though I wasn’t asked purpose of visiting. I was asked how I’d be paying for the birth of my baby, where I’ll be staying and how much money I had on me. There were no questions about change of intent letter or anything close. Although I had tried to send a change of intent a couple of times prior to my trip but never got a response. 2 Likes |

@Sonia77B Same here! I was just asked reason for visiting and I decleared childbirth and vacation, how I will be paying and address&phone of where I will be staying. Just be honest, they rarely take one for secondary inspection now except they smell a 🐀 I met 3 pregnant Naija women onboard and we met again at baggage claim. It was that seamless! God be with you. |

Please has anyone applied for expedited passport without child's ticket? Airline is refusing to add infant's ticket to mine because she doesn't have a passport yet and I need the ticket to apply for the passport. Can I apply with only my travel itinerary? |

TMJO: Thank you so much. This inspired me. Pls did they ask for dr’s correspondence/ appointment ? I have been trying to get an appointment from. Doctors but they tell me until I arrive because they no longer give appointment which some people said the might require at POE, Pls advise Thanks again |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by TMJO: 5:13am On Aug 17, 2023 |
Queenlala: No, they didn’t. But it’s advisable you have one. Contact Dr F. He’ll send one to you in no time. Of cos after paying $200 non refundable fee which will be deducted from the total dr’s fee. If you intend to birth your baby in Houston though 1 Like |

Sonia77B:Hello, Arrived NJ through JFK last week Wednesday. Why are you here? I said vacation and to have my baby. They took me to another room and I was told to declare my funds for the childbirth. I showed them my 10k cash explaining that this is the maximum I can travel with but I’ve other funds in my dollar card. Longest 10 mins later, I was stamped in after showing my correspondences with the doctor. |

Just a question, for those presently in the USA for birthing purpose. Did you obtain the visa for medical or for tourism. |
