This is what happens when politics becomes a hustle instead of being about service to the people. It becomes a case of fighting for what you can get and not what benefits the nation.
A country where states are offering a meagre 10k as palliatives after the new FG claimed they can't afford to subsidise the economy is appointing 48 ministers and some people are still shamelessly calling for more slots.
Think about it 48 Ministers will earn salaries and allowances, appoint aides, get security and official convoy, accommodation and other benefits for themselves and their families and most annoyingly get to submit budgets they intend to implement.
This is what happens with the structure of criminality where 40 thieves and more need to share out of the boots. So many mouths the booty might end up not going round.
If you think the reason for subsidy removal was to make governance better then I have an island to sell to you. This is the real reason for the removal of subsidy. So that there can be enough money to compensate the large criminal political structure that birthed the present govt.
