That Nigerian first penalty should have been won to boost morale. Make sure that the first 3 penalty takers are good and confident, if not they will take an advantage of you. Kudos to them to get this far. They curtailed England madness and skills at the goal post but had bad time restrategizing.
Let the idiots on this forum start tribal bash as usual. Were people..

How do you expect this country to progress when evil has been going on in the land?

220 millions people were rubbed by politicians. Nothing good will come out of this country.

Penalty shootout is a game of luck & mental strength. England is better in the latter.

No luck - practice makes perfect - England used to pens under pressure in tournaments - I knew Naija would lack the mental discipline to achieve 5 out of 5 pens.

Our football is just like our politics - by force - no brain involved.

NFF should create more friendly matches between our Super Falcons and top European countries. I believe the gap between us has really closed and we are evenly matched, stronger and better. This will take us to the next level.

That's why I wanted us to avoid PK as much as possible.

Ile ya... come home.

Nigeria (both male and female teams) have never been good penalty takers.
The best bet is to kill of the gave while it's still alive..

It's a good team, but they need to sharpen their attacking and finishing instincts. A lot of time is wasted making decision when attacking.

Apart from Leonel Messi, Di Maria, Ashley Cole Roberto Carlos and Giggs I don’t have confidence in a left footed player when it comes to penalty.Generally!

For the falcons to have dragged the current European champions to a stalemate for 120 mins and to a penalty shootout is a highly commendable feat and deserves all the praise!
A penalty shootout is anyone's game and should not in anyway diminish what our gallant ladies did today!
I am so proud of them and if more efforts are made to improve on our local leagues, the Nigerian female national team will go places!

You are commending a team that couldn't get rid of their opponents despite being handed a one woman advantage cheesy

On a funny note....Alozie's penalty kick was so funny. I knew she would lose it when I saw how she missed her chance in the game. Is she even left footed? It's as if she is forcing herself to use her left..

The minute she stepped up for the penalty I just thought OMG. She’s gonna miss.

The coach should have noticed her poor game and excluded her from the penalty shootout.

Coach was excellent. βœ…
Team defensive spirit superb. βœ…
It's a learning experience for Nigeria.

Going forward, they need to work on their attack to make it more effective.

Our defense still remains one of the most solid in the world.

Correct me if I am wrong, our unbeaten run still remains.

To be honest, dragging England the European champion into penalty was beyond my expectations and we should be very proud of our girls. Unless you know nothing about football you will know that England are more technically sound than us although I was actually praying for the kind of USA-Sweden scenario, where USA did all the playing but were unlucky to score against the Swedish keeper who was EXTRAODRINARY. USA finally lost on penalties
