All I read here were just wailings from the agbadorians, the law is the law, I expected a counter statement, even the "8 million votes" president and his supporters are afraid of a rerun, so where did the 8 million come from? The post is actually a renewed and happy expectation for the common masses.

Many people in Nigeria are quite shallow in thought.

One would think your reason for the Judiciary not upturning the Tinubu declaration as winner is based some fact or something like that. But to say the consequences of upturning it would destroy Nigeria is absurd.

So leaving a person who didn't lawfully win an election as president won't destroy a country.

So having a former? drug dealer as president won't destroy a country?

So having a document forger as president won't destroy a country?

SMH

First of all, I am apolitical.

You sound like a stranger in Jerusalem. You forget what country we live in.

Peter Obi in many European countries would not even be considered fit for office after the Pandora papers. He would be considered dodgy. The system is extremely corrupt and perverted.

Yes, a reason for not upturning the vote is the chaos that might spring from it. It would heat up the polity tremendously. It might even provide an opportunity for a coup by the military.

Another is that the level of electoral malpractice would not have changed the outcome of the results of the elections. This is true. Even if the courts decides to erase the 3 states where rigging were to obvious such as Lagos ( In Lagos, it was dreadful), he would still have won the elections.

He would have gotten the needed 25% of votes in 25 states. Even if 1.5m votes were deducted from his votes, he'll still have won the election.

Atiku got the 25% threshold in 20 states, while Peter Obi in 16 states. There's no contest here.

Tinubu won the elections. His being a "document forger" won't determine if he'll destroy the country or not Stop making a mountain out of a molehill.

Yaradua and Jonathan who did not forge papers brought the course of Boko Haram upon the nation.

You're most likely an Obi supporter.

It is unintelligent for LP to claim Tinubu will not be on ballot. Let me ask this simple question. Has any candidate ever been on ballot?

This is the reality. APC is not disqualified, it remains eligible to run elections. APC will be on ballot. Now, question might be raised on who APC will field as candidate. All electoral Acts agree it is prerogative of party to field candidate of its choice. Only INEC has power and authority to disqualify candidate.

So APC will be on ballot, and if APC wants to submit Tinubu/Shettima as candidate to INEC, and INEC accepts it, then no one in Nigeria can remove him.

LP is naive.

An IREV glitch cannot stop the winner of the elections bring declared because that portal is not the primary source of results.

Obidients might not accept him but as proven by his presence at various international suits representing the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Tinubu has been accepted by the rest of the world.

Did you expect the rest of the world to battle with INEC over the fraud of Tinubu emerging president of Nigeria?

Atiku supporters and Obidients are carrying out the struggle to let the choice of Nigeria's voters in the election be upheld. Tinubu did not win the presidential election.

And the law says if there's a glitch, use manual transmission

No law stated that. We spent billions of Naira to throw away manual collation when we established electronic transmission of vote results from BVAS to INEC portal for transparency in election.
If manual collation was resorted to, it was illegal. Use of manual collation of votes makes the election not be Transparent. A non Transparent election is null, void and of no effect in law.

The overwhelming choice of Nigerian voters was for President Tinubu.

That is why Peter Obi was so desperate for a way to disqualify him or nullify his votes based on blurred images on IREV and a completely pathetic attempt at misinterpreting the 25% requirement for a certain number of states including Abuja.

President Tinubu was so considerate, he even allowed Peter Obi to win Lagos state which no one would have batted an eyelid if he had rigged to win.

Na man he be abeg.

I very much doubt Tinubu's election will be overturned.

The primary reason is that the fall out of such a ruling would cause so much damage to the nation.

In addition, nobody holy pass. Atiku and Peter Obi have skeletons in their cupboards. Atiku is a wanted man in the USA. Peter Obi has the Pandora leak to contend with.

I won't be surprised if the Naira touches 1,200 within 2 weeks of such an announcement. There'll just oo much panic and insecurity.

You see the issue here is that, the judiciary wants to use this opportunity to strengthen their reputation and image in the country. They want to send a message across to all Nigerians that they're still in charge.

The APC party has really disgraced them; the lastest was during that cash crunch era. I doubt they will rule in favour of Tinubu

Tinubu benevolent that he allowed Obi to win Lagos, you wrote. SMH.
U gradually agree that Tinubu’s votes in the presidential election were mostly false votes.
Worse, Tinubu not able to win the mandatory 25% of votes in Abuja capital territory is another way his hopes were dashed. The English sentence of must win 25% of votes in 2/3 of the number of states and Abuja is simple; does not require any further interpretation.
The president doubles as governor of Abuja federal capital territory. That's why a presidential candidate must win at least 25% of votes in Abuja capital territory before declared winner of a presidential election.

You are yet to realize that Buhari and APC are not the same. Many in APC considered him an illiterate. It didn't take long after the 2015 elections for the party too know they made a "mistake."

It was a 'mistake' that Tinubu used to snatch power from the PDP.

He was tolerated a second term because he had vast goodwill in the North and plenty in the southwest enabling win a second term.

Now, Tinubu has started reforms and he ditched the multiple exchange policy which was a bedrock of the Buhari government and has ordered the CBN to unify the rates. He has also ended the petrol subsidy which Buhari refused to do in 2016 when he had the opportunity.

Don't forget the Judiciary was given 35bn by the government. In addition, Osinbanjo and Fashola are both SAN.

It is impossible to argue against something so illogical and motivated by a tribalistic zeal to impose the will of the minority on the majority.

Same thing as with the stolen mandate mantra wey Obidient no go gree us rest put.

By the way, I did not vote for President Tinubu.

The fear of Jagaban contesting a rerun... The man who never lost an election since 1993

Undisputed winner

Undefeatable

If Obi contest against Jagaban 50 times Tinubu would win him 49.9 times , Jagaban would win the remaining 0.1 times

.
The fear of who?

U sure say u read d passage atol...?

It was a counter statement. Tinubu had already said d re-run would b between him and Atiku before d LP lawyer countered him, dat Tinubu shouldn't b in d re-run.

So, who is fearing who actually?

Your lawyers would not counter a statement of fact that rerun is only for first and second, Tinubu and Atiku... You lawyer would also not insist on disqualification of anyone

All this shows fear of Jagaban winning again and again
