They have taken taken their country back from Imperial France. Through the help of a private Military Company, Wagner PLC, the foppish French were sent packing! Kudos to them. Time to send out all the western military bases there too. Then, make a foolproof constitution for timely, organized transition to civilian rule within two years. See the popular support showed to him. The legitimacy he enjoys from the citizens of Niger is overwhelming. The mandate thief lacks the acceptance & legitimacy of Nigerians. Bazoum was seen as a looter not because he's from minority. No citizen will prefer military to Civilian rule except you have been pushed so well to the wall by the elected class. NaijaReporters7:The pain comes after the paid celebration by the time inflation bites. These men did this (coup) for selfish interest and not national interest. Bazoum is a minority Arab-Hausa and this juntas are from the majority, just as GEJ was a minority and the majority kicked him out of office and installed Buhari. Just see how this junta guys are receiving praise, it further affirms their selfish interest motives. What exactly will they be doing any different? They kicked out France and brought in Wagner Group to be mining free gold in exchange for "protection" (from who exactly?). And what development would Wagner Group's mining of their gold without paying tax bring into their economy? We know how men are hungry for power these days, especially Africans. Coup plotters always use "national interest" as an excuse for their coup but watch them in 2 to 3 years, they become more corrupt than corruption itself. We said Abacha was doing well but he was busy stealing public wealth and storing it in foreign countries. Niger people will realise their mistake sooner. One of the things stopping us from protesting in Nigeria is because we're gradually understanding the system. The major inflation in Niger Republic came from Nigeria's subsidy removal and floating of naira, because these guys import many things from Nigeria including electricity. So, cost of things will skyrocket. They can't understand this and this juntas are just using them as a cover for their selfish interests. Just watch out how things turn out in the coming years under this juntas. To some of them, it was a life long dream to one day rule their nation and the opportunity is set, what do you expect? Lol... |

Democracy claimed to librate the people which is good. But what if the people don’t want it anymore? On whose interest are we forcing the democracy to? France haven’t really help the niger people with their democracy but to loot the land. France couldn’t build power plants or raise their standard of living. The people don’t want again period. Neocolonialism. You can’t go to their country because they will deny you visa. Yet they want a bad policy that we impoverished the people like they push tinubu to stand on is ground with subsidy removal. |

Nigeriens are being deceived. The reason for this military takeover is far from the anti French rhetoric being spread around, although the anti French sentiments is very strong. The sentiment is so strong that they do not see that the current junta is also a beneficiary of France over the years. As a matter of fact, the leader of the junta got wind that the President is planning to reform the military and this shake up will make him loose his position. He therefore overthrew the government to safeguard his interests. Don't be deceived by anti French rhetorics. |
