You're here saying all these, where were Americans and the rest you mentioned with their chemical weapons, when a 32 years old military officer overthrew the govt of Burkina Faso? After more than 2 years the man is still ruling that country and the super power countries that you so much rely on, can't do anything.... grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Why can't your colonizers fight against the military government in mali and Burkina Faso after taking over the government? Or are they afraid of them? If you're student of history Hiroshima incident should be fresh in your memory and that's one mistake the Americans will not want to make again.

You can't think outside the box.. that's one big problem with most of you.

What if the erstwhile colonizers they are fighting decide to unleash something terrible on them there?.. can Niger fight back? Do they have anything in Niger republic to fight biological warfare??

Don't worry its just a matter of time, Niger will understand. They think Russian is going to help them but little do they know that is just an extended war between Russian and NATO. When the Russians went into Afghanistan, the west backed Taliban and frustrated the hell out of Russian till they abandoned their mission and went back home. The west will create their own pro west fighter in Niger and trigger a civil war. Omo that war go last well well, the same Niger will come back to beg ECOWAS. All the eboes praising Niger, who suddenly became lovers of Niger are doing it out of eye service. They want Hausa and Fulani in Niger to die like shit. It is their joy to see northerners suffer, since they don't have the balls to fight and hurt them within nigeria. ECOWAS will have the last laugh, its just a matter of time.

You are talking as if there was any reasonable economy in Niger before. Niger has been a bankrupt failed nation long time. Niger has a wider landmass than Nigeria but most of the this land are ungovernable even though large portion also is Sahara desert, I mean it's been ruled by thugs and criminals just like the BH boys tried to do in Northern Nigeria. Niger is a landlock nation.....only advantage is that they are closer to Nigeria and thereby all their importation comes through Lagos Port and transport to Niger via Sokota and other neighbouring states. Niger is dead without Nigeria. Dead in such a way that all the Citizen jumping and clapping for the junta will start dying like packs of stupid flies when all these Sanctions start bitting harder. Buhari had sympathy for his ancestral homeland, reason why he built railway from Southern Nigeria directly to the North and down to Niger...he also built a refinery for a fail country that doesn't have enough crude oil that can go commercial soon...only mineral worthy 9f note is the Uranium that the west and other developed countries are clogging on.

festacman:
This sanction stuff looks like a script written by France and US. But at least it saves ECOWAS face and defuses tension in Niger.

Interesting to see how long the Junta will keep up with this cat and mouse play before settling down for actual governance because as it is currently, the country is standstill. The current situation doesn't help Niger's economy.

Your ignorance stinks to the heavens, even if Ecowas makes a collective decision, those countries still need their legislatures to ratify the collective decision, dont just come here and talk trash.

Too many of us don't understand the reason for the coup.... as pointed out by the Italian Prime Minister in the video. Why would we as Africans want the Americans and France to continue to exploit us and continue to have us living in squalor? Burkina Faso been feeling the brunt of the exploitation and is trying to change that .... the reason they will support the coup in Niger. I have no doubt that the US and France are using the ones in the shadow giving ECOWAS spineless leaders instructions. The deposed leader is a puppet to these two powers ... the reason they want him back in power even if it means a bloodbath ... after all .... US has its African drone headquarters based there and France is raping the country of its uranium in particular. Niger closing its airspace I strongly believe has more to do with stopping surveillance and possible attacks by US drones .... also the reason we're not seeing much of the coup leaders. How well they can protect their air space is a story for another day ... I guess that's where the Russians will come in.
