Cooking of SBM and co during their processing serves to remove trypsin/protease inhibitors and other anti-nutritional factors which serve to disturb release of protein. When it is not well processed, protein utilization will be hindered/disturbed and this will result in poor digestibility which eventually lead to reduced productivity, poor egg development or small egg size, poor meat development in broilers and sudden death in chicks.
