Come on now u are saying oshoala never jumped but how did Michelle Alozie get her one on one with the keeper? Didn't Oshoala contest for the ball by jumping before it landed with Echegini? Every single time the ball came into the box she jumped but the problem was the crosses weren't good enough. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ashleigh Plumtre may be heading to France according to Tim Stillman. If true, hoping it's one Lyon or PSG. PSG preferably so she can pair with Nicole. 6 Likes 1 Share |

The Midfield Maestro Who Caged Lauren James Meet Halimatu Ibrahim Ayinde🇳🇬 "Give a single assignment to the Midfield Maestro, Halimatu Ayinde - Cage the Lionesses' star forward Lauren James," Defensive midfielder, Halimatu Ayinde who also plays for FC Rosengård did a spectacular job of resisting anticipated firepower from Lauren James who was expected to be the huge creative force for the Lionesses. Ayinde ensured James was kept in her pocket throughout the game, with no breathing space until she saw red. In an outburst of frustration for being kept quiet and marked out throughout the game, the Lioness switched position to get some breathing space from Ayinde but equally met an ever ready Alozie who was on hand to serve the same breakfast.James then maliciously stood on Alozie (in protest) and was deservedly punished by the VAR. Ayinde successfully executed her project of caging James’ creative edge and whatever mean/aggressive act by the latter can be traced to our Midfield Marshall who has largely been underrated in this tournament. She showed us all pure class and will do well with taking man-marking masterclasses. I sincerely hope the younger ones are learning from her. Nigeria celebrates you Halimatu Ibrahim Ayinde. 12 Likes 1 Share

michigang: Baba small small. Any source to this assertion. We aren't unfamiliar with her, just do a simple search you'll realize she's been mentioned here a couple of times. About her desire to play for Nigeria, I doubt it's true unless there's a worthy source. |

daveP: Dave, Michelle wasn't playing as a LW....She played as a LWB ( She was just Super high up the Pitch ) The formation was 3-4-2-1 ( Order started as the RWB but eventually went central and Ajibade went to the RWB position ) Ohale_____Demehin______Plumptre Ajibade_______Christy_____jenni_______Michelle Ordega____Desire (Toni ) Oshoala 1 Like |

Deltamani: I'd love this...But I'll stop at Lyon and PSG...maybe Paris FC. The other ones aren't really that exciting. ( Problem with Lyon is that they still have Wendie at Ashleigh's favorite position...LCB and she'll likely play any minute she's available for ) 1 Like 2 Shares |

Deltamani: Yeah definitely, she'll get more playing time and a starter at PSG (Even at Lyon, but less so )....but that club seems very dysfunctional even at female level. I saw the Arsenal link as well, but it seems to be just Arsenal fans wanting her more than anything else...(no concrete links, yet). She could make a very good replacement for Rafaela ( She's better than Lötte and Williams is still injured...So Arsenal will have Amanda and Her starting ). I wish she could sign for Chelsea to replace Magdalena ( Sentimental reasons 😂😂) but they seem stacked at the back right now 2 Likes |

daveP: Bro, I wanted to cry seeing the confusion amongst the players...they had no idea of what to do with the ball once they got it... The Ordega and Ajibade move was head scratching ( I guess it was done because Ajibade is better beating her marker on the dribble, but we could have just overloaded that wing since Daly who was playing LB for England isn't a Specialist defender and stick 2 Attackers in their box since we decided to go route one ) 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: What crap is the bolded? A coach with so-called world class players could not defeat a team with 10 ladies for more than 30 minutes of play yet you identified him as a coach. Jamaica or even Morocco could have defeated England in such situation. The fact remains Nigeria went to the world cup with sleepy spectators instead of players. The only light on Nigerian side is Plumptre maybe honorable mention of Ohale, Nnadozie, Ucheibe and Kanu is pardonable. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Idiko1: 4:03am On Aug 10, 2023 |
Deltamani: Are you a football agent? Which match did you watch? If Ucheibe was somehow unable to play, England would have defeated Nigeria soundly. |
