Whichever way u understood d analysis above the fact that cannot be expunged is what is Russia interest in Niger? What he asserted up there isn't far from d truth. Russia is fingered in the latest coup in almost African countries n this this because Russia is looking away from Europe where sanctions is biting harder on her. However, Russia isn't a friend of Africa not many European countries even US but there are lesser evils which America represent.

America protect her interests around the world but Russia is looking to destabilise anywhere in its efforts for confrontation with US. Many countries in Africa where coup took place were America friends but Russia would rather work in a direct opposite against established government and institutions just to protect her interests. Africa needs to be careful.
I saw Niger soldiers being happy with new imported weapons through Wagner but unfortunately the would be destroyed before they realise their mistakes.

Be ut whatever, Africa is about to go into another face of colonial era but my fear is to be able to resist looming war in the continent of Africa which is Russia primary gain. More So, we are face with uncontrollable proliferation of weapons in the hands of criminals n terrorists.

The gas pipeline passing through the West African coast would be cheaper, safer and less vulnerable to sabotage.

Remember the pipeline passing through the Sahel and unto the Sahara would endear the project to these notoriously unstable regions with all manners of terror groups operating in them.

But if the gas pipeline passes through the West African Atlantic coastline, the Naval forces of Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal etc would be on hand to supervise, protect and give logistical support for construction.

My two cents on the matter.

Come, you're right but if looked closely, the real power lies in our hands. #Endsars actually made a change in Nigeria's policing such that for the first time we started seeing police IG sacking police officers whose misconduct went viral after #Endsars.

This Niger Coup will teach France and other foreign powers a lesson including whoever will pilot the country as the next leader.

Truth is that there is an activated Cold War between the USA and Russia and Russia has been at the tail end of that war however with global economic events it’s become clear that the USA is weak and Russia wants to capitalize on this by getting out of the shadow of the USA and creating a new economic global power with the new emerging economic powerhouse China hence BRICS so as to get away from the dollar because that dollar has undue advantage to America who just print it anyhow and devalue global assets by unchecked printing of the dollar and causing global hyperinflation.
